You are a peasant who overhears your lord talking about hidden treasure on the island. You set off to find the treasure and encounter various obstacles and choices along the way, including a creaky tower that collapses, paths through a jungle and swamp, keys in a treehouse that provide visions, and crystals in a hidden valley. However, your adventures often end badly, such as being bitten by an alligator or attacked by a shark, forcing you to start over.

1. Choose your own adventure! By Class 3 Welcome to Class 3’s ‘Choose Your Own Adventure’ story. You are in charge, so click on the treasure chest to get started! Acknowledgments

2. The castle in the mountains You are a peasant, working as a servant in a big castle in the mountains. You are very poor, and you work long hours doing nasty jobs. One day, you are scrubbing the floor, when you over-hear your Lord and master talking to a friend. They are talking about some secret treasure, hidden somewhere on the island. You decide to try and find the treasure. If you find the treasure you will be rich, and you will not have to do nasty jobs any more! You step outside the castle gates. Do you turn left or right ?

3. Rainforest You catch a boat to the rainforest, and when you get there there are some sharp rocks, but you don’t want to get dirty. So what are you going to do? Beside the rock there is a path and you climb on it and you say “victory!” There is a slide into the rain forest and there is grasshopper bouncing around. You go further in the rain forest and see colourful birds flying. You stop and see a baby crocodile, but they don’t bite. The baby crocodile follows you into the rain forest. The baby crocodile takes you to a river with lovely, clean water and you drink the water and the baby crocodile is the nicest crocodile on planet. The crocodile is trying to say “I’m going be the nicest crocodile.” Next page

4. The Creaky Tower You come to the end of the path. You find an old tower with a note on the step up to the door saying: Welcome to Creaky Tower. Climb up the stairs , open the door beyond the stairs and you will find … … … … … … … … … … … … … It goes all fuzzy and blurred and you can’t see it, so you go to find the stairs and start climbing them. Soon you find the door beyond the stairs and you go through the door and find nothing special, but a room! When you look around the room you see a little wood burner. You are very, very cold, so you light the fire.The flames grow bigger and soon you see the flames catching alight to the tower. You’re very scared you try to jump out of the window but it’s locked and you can’t get out! Suddenly the tower falls down! And everything goes black. In a few minutes’ time you wake up again and you find the rubble was in little pieces. You walk out and you find two paths . Which do you choose? The left or The right path .

5. So you go further into the rain forest and you are going to eat all the berries. You meet a colourful bird and it’s called the Rolly Polly Bird and its friend Mugglewump. “Do you know where we are?” you say. “Well we are in animal land.” “How do you get out of here?” “You can, but you can die,” said Mugglewump. You are scared, but you have to carry on. You are so tired, but you know you have to carry on what you were going to do. But you see two doors. Will you go in right or the left ?

6. Danger Rapids You slip into the danger rapids. There are two rocks and you hold onto the two rocks. You jump to the other side. You find yourself in a fast flowing small river. It takes you around and you grab onto two rocks and pull your self and grab onto the other side and jump to the side. Do you head for the alligator swamp or the waterfall ?

7. Monster Park A monster covers your mouth and says “what are you doing here? Have you came here to go to the Hidden Valley? Have you come to go to the Tree House?” You say “I’ve came to get some gold from the gold mine. There’s only one way out isn’t there? I’ll go to the tree house.” To your surprise, the monster smiles to you. The monsters go off and start to look for some food in the park where they live. They give the food to you. You say “thank you.” You ask them what sort of food it is. They tell you that it is some plums and apples from their trees. You say thank you for all the food they have given to you, and goodbye. You come out of the park. Which way do you go? Left or Right

8. The oasis You get to the oasis. You are very thirsty and hungry. You go to the water’s edge and kneel down. You reach into the water with your hands and have one brilliant drink. You put your hands in for a second time. Then you take a deep look into the water and you see a giant jellyfish! Before you can move, the jellyfish flicks a long tentacle out of the water and stings your hand and nose. You jump up and run to the coconut tree. You are very hungry so you climb the tree to pick a coconut. Suddenly, an angry monkey, who had been hiding in the tree, threw a coconut which hit you on the head. You fall out of the tree. When you pick yourself up there’s not just one monkey but TEN monkeys, all throwing coconuts at you. You throw the coconuts back at them. You manage to hit six of them. They limp away. The other four climb back up the tree. You decide it is time to leave the oasis. Do you go to Shark Bay or to Smugglers Cove ?

9. Tunnel to the castle It was even darker in the tunnel than the castle. You go to the wall and you walk along touching. You can see eyes in the wall . You see bats, rabbits and rats and you can hear the wind whistling loudly. You get bitten by a rat. Nervous, you scream really loudly. You run away so fast. You see some bright lights, then you see a door to get out of the tunnel. Then you go through the door You are in the castle. Oh dear! Sadly, you are back where you started .

10. Alligator Swamp You are in an alligator swamp and you are sneaking your way through. But when you are half way through, you see an alligator pretending to be a log and it sees you. You stare frantically at it. You are very scared and you freeze very quickly. The alligator starts to snap and it lunges at you. You dodge and you fall in and it keeps lunging at you. Suddenly the alligator disappears under the water and you get taken under. You feel the blistering teeth go into your neck. The alligator bites your head off! The last thing you hear is your skull being crushed slowly as the alligator bites off your head. Start again?

11. Waterfall You see a glistening circle in a bright, blue bubble bobbing towards you. You feel nervous and you stretch out one arm to touch the bubble and you find that there is a crystal ball right in front of you. You pop the bubble with your eyes closed. In one movement you find a shinning crystal ball sitting in the palm of your hands. It is so shiny, your eyes are squinting because it is like a mini sunshine. You put it in your brown, waterproof pocket. You try to find somewhere to rest overnight and you find a hole into an underwater house to stay in overnight. You find an old lady who tells you there is a dangerous land near by called “Unexplored Territory” and there is a great big valley called “Dinosaur Valley”. Do you go to Unexplored Territory or The Lost City ?

12. The Tree House You’re in the tree house you look around. There is a book shelf and cupboard so you open the cupboard. There is some bread, milk, butter and some jam. You’re getting hungry so you decide to make a sandwich. After you have eaten your sandwich you want to look at the bookshelf. It has got dust all over it so you have to get it off. There is cloth in the cupboard, you go and get it and start to dust. When you have got all the dust off you look at the books. There’s a book you start to read, it is about a witch called Wombs and she steels a crystal ball but a man called Luke Peacock comes to town to kill the witch and succeeds. You have finished the book but there is another page. You turn the page and there is a box. You open it and there are 2 keys: you wonder which one do you take? You feel a bit scared, the keys start to glow, you feel really, really nervous you have a vision. In the vision you fall out of the tree house window and the keys get all mixed up so that you make a bad choice. The vision stops and you fall unconscious. When you wake up, you make your decision to take one of the keys with you. You feel worried. Do you take KEY 1 or KEY 2

13. The Hidden Valley As you push your way through the pinching , biting and nipping things on your bare legs, you can see birds, stones and ….. CRYSTALS! 2 of them! WOW! You can’t believe what you are seeing. You pinch yourself to make sure you are not dreaming. You run down to the crystals, but you slip on a stone! As your tired, weak legs push you off the ground, you see you’re next to the crystals! But you see they are in rocks. One is blue and one is red . Do you choose the red one Or the blue one ?

14. Shark Bay You have came from the oasis to get to the other side, but failed. You have a foot bitten off, and another, then the left leg, the right, arms, the rest whole! You feel the shark’s teeth gnawing your flesh and bone marrow. You’re blind! You think “Darnn!” Your last thought. Your last thought. Your head is off and you get beaten, bitten, gnashed, gulped and digested. IT’S THE END FOR YOU! Start again?

15. Smuggler’s Cove You discover that you are in a strange place and you see a dirty boat and a clean boat. You decide to go on the clean boat. You put your foot in, but you change your mind and decide to go on the dirty boat instead of the clean boat. Then you start to go round and round the river. You get attacked by a gigantic octopus. It pulls you out off the boat and puts you onto a pirate boat. You try to start the pirate boat but it wont start. You eventually get the boat to start. You don’t know where you are going to end up! You find the gigantic octopus again! Do you go to Pirate Ville or Sea Town ?

16. The Lost City After a long journey from the waterfall, you finally arrive at the Lost City. You see a monkey and he gives you some gorgeous fruit! You eat some and save some for later. You see a bird, it’s absolutely beautiful! The bird grabs you! You are furious! You throw some fruit at the bird. It doesn’t work. It yawns in your face. It’s a deadly scent that knocks you out! The monkey comes to the rescue. But it is too late you are DEAD!!! In the end the monkey kills the evil but beautiful bird. Start again?

17. Unexplored Territory You had a long swim at the water fall. You keep walking and soon see a shiny stone made out of crystal. Soon your eyes get a bit blurry and you walk into a tree. Suddenly a howling, screeching spider monkey comes. Then another spider monkey comes crashing down. They steal the shiny stone. They squabble over it. And then run off. Your coloured bird comes and snatches the monkey and soars some where else. A grey bird has the big monkey. Both of the birds fly around and confuse you. Then fly off in different directions. 18. Dinosaur valley You walk into dinosaur valley. There are big ones and small ones. They all have different roars and noises. You found a humungous dinosaur and you quickly hide behind a tree. Then suddenly a pterodactyl flies down and gets you and flies away somewhere. The pterodactyl puts you in a cave, dark cave. There are crystals everywhere. You go in the dark cave. You walk out of the cave and travel on. Then you come to a lake and you can’t cross it. It is a disaster. Your journey ends here. Start again?

19. The Old Rope Bridge You’re scared but you walk across anyway. But then you see the holes in it and you’re terrified . You’re shaking and the bridge is shaking as well. You look down between the holes and then see all the horrifying snakes below you and stare at them. After a while you hear the hissing of the snakes, and you step on the bridge and fall through the huge holes. They are squeezing you so tightly you think to yourself will it be the end of you? As you are being squeezed you see snakes climbing the side of the canyon and you see and hear them biting away at the strong rope. All of a sudden it falls on top of you and you were right: it was the end of you! Start again?

20. Sea Town You are a slave. You work for a house wife because she is too old to look after the jobs herself. You want to get away, so one day when the house wife is sleeping you escape in the blink of an eye. You come to a dead end. You turn around and go to a little cottage. You ring the door bell and go inside for a long and restless sleep. In the morning you go down for breakfast and an old lady appears. You rub your eyes and she is gone. You come to two doors. Do you choose The door with a cross ? Or the door with the circle ?

21. Pirate Ville As you walk into Pirate Ville you see some ugly pirates. So you decide to turn back. But one ugly looking pirate named Deadly Dennis pulls your hair like a garden weed ! You cry for help. But then just more pirates come along and before you know it you are tied to a wooden stretcher with twenty angry-looking pirates aiming pistols at you. You surrender so they throw you into a old chest that used to have treasure in .But the pirates forget to lock the chest! And you see a real pink pearl !!! So you grab the pearl and run. Some pirates see you and you don’t know which way to run!!! You see three arrows. One pointing left, one pointing right and one pointing straight ahead. Which way do you run: Left? Right? or Straight ahead?

22. The old railway bridge You come from sea town and start to see the train through steamy, misty, fog, and you see a red carpet and you start to walk on it. You say “hello” to the staff. Then you find some where to sit and off you go round the bend and on the bridge. Oh no, the track is broken! You jump out of the train and you run to the low-loader. You get a plank of wood and fix the track. You get back in the cab and start fast and cross over the bridge. You get in a cart and wheel down the track. Next page

23. Outlaw Camp You’re at an outlaw camp and you can smell heavy drifts of smoke coming from the roasting hot fire. You hear heavy foot steps getting closer to you. You decide to hide behind a tree. You can see a man dashing and making a spire out of wood and a rusty knife. You try to run but there is no escape. Just trees to hide. You look in your back pocket. You have a 32cm knife. An outlaw spots you and starts to chase you. You have to battle him, but he has an MP42. The tree gets in your way! He shoots you. He misses you. You get the 32cm knife and you break the MP42. A fire archer shots at you from a tree. You hear your own skin boiling up. You know your time is up !!!!! Start again?

24. Snake Canyon You come to a canyon. You look around for dangers but you see nothing. You hear a hiss, then another. You see a green bit behind a rock. You take a step back. You think it is a dinosaur. You see a big pile of human bones. You see an arrow–sharp snake. You know now it is a snake canyon. You think about it for a minute. A snake leaps at you. It missed. Another snake leaps at you. It missed you. A 3rd snake leaps at you. It hits you THUD! It hits your face. The entire snake hit you at you. You get out of the situation. You climb a cliff. You have a piece of white bread. You fall down from the cliff/hill. The snakes leap and the dinosaurs from dinosaur valley roar at you in the distance. You are afraid. You think they will eat you. Your blood runs cold down your spine. You don’t know there is a snake behind. It grabs you by the foot. YOU ARE NOW DEAD! Start again?

25. Woods You come to the entrance of the woods and you walk for two nights before you stop for a rest. The next day you wake up in surprise you think you hear a roar. You are really scared, but you walk over the bridge. You go over the bridge so you walk to safety. You walk on until you come to a river. You swim to safety and you want to go home. You carry on and run to the woods to find your tent. You find a tent but it was not yours. It was the Indians’. You are terrified because they have sharp spears and knives, but you have nothing. They trap you and poke their spears at you. It feels like lots of pins flying at you. You scream and try to run, but they rope your ankles. The last thing you ever see is the Indians charging at you! Start again?

26. The old gold mine You arrive at the entrance to the mine. You get your light helmet on and then off you go. The cart goes slow first then it really speeds up. Your heart is beating really fast, you get really frightened. You try to jump out but the walls are too narrow. There is a spade ahead of you. You grab it. You get it but it didn’t pull you down. So you have to wait over night. You wake up you are about to fall but you hold on. The cart goes down. You suddenly feel really sick. But you were not. So you just stand still. At last it suddenly stops. You get out and keep looking. You go ahead and see a river. You have a lovely drink. It was very fresh. Next page

27. You go back and lean back on the cart. It is all rusty. You say to yourself “I am going to start digging”. So you start digging. You keep digging all night until at last you find that gorgeous lovely gold. You get it out get back in the cart. You go back and say “I have found the gold!” You have won the game! Congratulations! You are going to be rich forever! Back to the beginning?
