THE FIRST AND THE FUTURE PC
- Abstract of the justification and objectives
I chose this topic because the computers are an important tool for the
people who study systems engineering, that is why I focused my research in
explain who arrived this first equipment to our country.
This project has as a goal show the importance of the arrived the first
computer to our country, which year arrived in and how much was the cost
and show the different projections the future pc.
- Abstract of the second advance
In the second draft I showed how much Bavaria spend the IBM 650. The
price was around US$500.000 in 1957, what is grossly US$4.000.000 and
$8.000.000.000 Colombian pesos in current price. Also I mentioned that
there are many future projections on how this sort of devices will be. These
machines will be designee for People with Disabilities, and I quote movies of
science Fiction like that Avatar or Minority Report that could be one sample
very useful for develop the future pc.

Bavaria brought the IBM 650 to Colombia on 3rd of March 1957; its weight
was 1300 kilos, which is around the weight of 22 people if each person
weighed 60 kilos approximately. The IBM was used for the Accounting
department and for administrative tasks. This machine had successful. Then
several companies like Ecopetrol and Coltejer bought the IBM.
In 1963, Bavaria donated the IBM to the University of the “Andes” and this
machine was converted in the first computer to the services of the education
and this was used for the career of civil engineering and this was used for
several investigations and projects like build roads and buildings.
The projection the companies about the computer of the future like Intel is
incorporate a camera in 3D for the computer that will control by gesture and
for the security, Intel is promoted a tool that Face recognition, this tool
prevents the password theft and the company Leap Motion pretend to
develop a software and hardware that controlled the movements in 3D. This
companies seek will accommodate to the lifestyle of the different people like
People with Disabilities.

2. Microsoft also pretend that a single computer where you can watch TV,
watch movies, surf the Internet, record and listen music, listen to radio and
play ,replace televisions, stereos and home game consoles. Microsoft
developed a machine that all unite in a single machine. a PC with Windows
Media Center. It is clear that future proposed Bill Gates is a headache for
manufacturers of televisions and stereos.
For the final presentation, I going to used Slides in power point, with images
and videos that show the contents written here.
