Unit 4.1 EDP 279

Target Learners and Lesson Plan
My target learners would be Kindergarten and First Graders.
The lesson is meant to teach them about their relatives.

How I Would Use This Resource
I will use this resource because it provides a lot of information that will be
importnat for students to come out of this lesson understanding.
Items they include in the lesson plan that will be helpful to use:
- Key terms like: family, family member, friend
- Learning objective: Students will be able to describe the makeup of their
family.
- A teaching model with step by step instructions
- How to assess the students
- And a worksheet for students to fill out, I would adapt this for students to be
able to type what they have learned or give a spoken presentation based on
how they feel they can best show there knowledge
How Would this Lesson Support Universal Design
This lesson plan supprts universal design for learning
because it provides multiple different ways for share the
knowledge they have gained from this lesson. Also, there will
be individual time to work where they can write or draw to
help the understand what family means. We will read a book
so students have visuals as well.
