Either Section A: The Inter-War Years, 1919–1939
Or Section B: The Cold War, 1945–1975
Or Section C: A New World? 1948–2005.
Then answer Question 1 and one other question from the section you have chosen.
In Part 2, Depth Study The USA, 1919–1941, answer Question 4 and one other
question.

There is a surge of women investors: secretaries, heiresses, business women and
housewives. In the last ten years the number of women speculators has increased from
2% to 35% of the total number who gamble daily on the stock market. Of course, a woman
who wants to take part in the stock market must have money to invest. And she has
certainly got that as never before.

In the last ten years the number of women speculators has increased from 2% to 35% of the total number who gamble daily on the stock market. Of course, a woman who wants to take part in the stock market must have money to invest. And she has certainly got that as never before. From an American magazine published in 1929.
