3. One leading cause to hearing loss in
children is when a baby is born
prematurely. When they are born too
early their ears aren’t fully developed
making it harder for the them to hear.

5. Heredity is a leading cause to hearing loss, it is
more than 50% of all hearing loss causes. For a
child to become deaf both parents have to have
the recessive gene and pass it to the their child.

The earlier hearing loss is detected the easier the
outcome of speech and language development. if you
know someone who just had a baby tell them to
take a scan or hearing test. its the one way to
become aware of hard of hearing or deaf.

12. PREVENTION
When you are listening to music don’t have it blasting in
your ear, so that the person next to you can’t hear it.
Every year 10 percent of adults and children who use
there ipods are using them too loud and are introducing
themselves to a road of hard of hearing.
