Writing Targets

1. Could you make your text more imaginative and interesting?
Check the TAP or your text. Does it fit the correct Type, Audience and
Purpose?
Check the structure and presentation of your text. How does it start?
What should come next? Does it need a title / Headline etc.
Check that you have used paragraphs correctly. Could you vary the length of
your paragraphs for effect?

Check that you have used punctuation accurately. Could you use punctuation
for effect?
Could you vary sentences for effect?
Make sure that the vocabulary you use ‘fits’. Could you use vocabulary for
