Public Sector Vista Launch
Metro Advertising Campaign
A series of Microsoft Public Sector Vista ads appeared on buses and
key metro stations around Washington, DC, to promote the launch
of Microsoft Vista to Federal Government employees. The ads ran to
coincide with launch events at numerous Washington-area venues,
helping to secure awareness of Federal Government-targeted initiatives
and build brand awareness.

Program Video
The Security Cooperation Program video is a 3-minute video produced to

Pinellas County Tax Collector
County Government Improves Efficiency with
Microsoft Technology
As the Chief revenue collector, the Pinellas County Tax Collector office serves nearly
one million residents by collecting more than $1.5 billion in taxes and fees, as well
as issuing licenses, titles, and registrations. The office wanted to automate many
processes and gain greater operational efficiencies. Deciding that custom-building
a new solution would suit its needs better than any available tax solutions, the
office based its new solution on Microsoft technologies. The solution, Integrated Tax
Management Solution (ITMS), uses Microsoft Dynamics GP as its financial system
backbone. Microsoft Dynamics GP is connected seamlessly to ITMS through the
use of Microsoft Dynamics GP eConnect Enterprise Application Integration software
and Microsoft BizTalk® Server, and takes advantage of Microsoft SQL Server 2005
Reporting Services for key reporting needs. The result of the county’s pioneering
efforts is an impressive increase in efficiency.

The Pinellas County Tax Collector office processes state and local
government transactions for the most densely populated county in
Florida. Pinellas County has nearly one million residents.
Business Situation
The Pinellas County Tax Collector office wanted an up-to-date,
cost-effective solution to streamline its business management
processes, help improve overall efficiency, and deliver consistently
reliable data and service.
Solution
The Pinellas County Tax Collector office implemented Microsoft
Dynamics GP as part of a comprehensive custom-built solution.

South Adams County Water and
Sanitation District
Utility District Uses Integrated System to
Streamline Processes, Boost Productivity
All drinking water and wastewater services in Commerce City, Colorado, originate with
South Adams County Water and Sanitation District. To record customer data for more
than 44,000 residents, the District depended on a custom-written system. Single-
source support and increasing manual entry hindered productivity, leading South
Adams County Water and Sanitation District to seek a more flexible system. Teaming
with Diamond Municipal Solutions, the District deployed Microsoft Dynamics GP and
integrated it with Utility Billing from Diamond Municipal Solutions, which added billing
and accounting features. The solution offers the District increased support options
and streamlines daily tasks. Now, South Adams County Water and Sanitation District
completes weekly billing 25 percent faster and generates custom reports in just 30
minutes instead of waiting two weeks for vendor customizations.

South Adams County Water and Sanitation District is one of the
largest water districts in Colorado. More than 80 employees work
for the utility.
Business Situation
The inflexible legacy application South Adams County Water and
Sanitation District used was difficult to support and each module
worked independently.
Solution
South Adams County Water and Sanitation District teamed with
Diamond Municipal Solutions to deploy Microsoft Dynamics GP.
The company then integrated it with vertical-specific software.

Microsoft approached JAM to create a marketing piece individuals could
carry with them in their wallet, purse, or pocket, that listed various online
resources available to individuals working in IT in the Education sector.
The Web Site Resources Quick Guide, the size of a business card when
folded, offers five panels of information with more than 25 links to various
Education-related resources on microsoft.com. In addition, JAM created
an 8.5x11 2-sided flyer individuals could download from the website with
the same information and an Outlook OFT with the same links that could
be distributed upon request.

offices all over the US for distribution to local contacts. Regional marketing
managers needed a mailer that detailed the benefits of upgrading to SP1

State upgrades e-mail while saving money
While corporations have e-mail systems that allow
communication with employees at a touch of a button,
that’s not always true in state government. Government
e-mail systems are a cluttered patchwork of old and new
computers with different software and e-mail systems.
Scheduling a meeting electronically can be a challenge.
Thanks to a new deal with Microsoft, and some
enterprising efforts by Illinois Gov. Blagojevich’s IT team,
Blagojevich and 55,000 state employees under his
authority will soon have better access.
In the process, Illinois will save $6 million annually
on software licenses and updates. Savings will also be
available to municipalities that will share in the state’s
bargaining power under the new Enterprise Agreement
signed with Microsoft.
Addressing the governor
Jay Carlson, deputy director of the bureau of
communications and computer services and the leader
of the improvement program states, “When the governor
came into office, electronic communication was not easy.
There were 46 different e-mail address books.” More
importantly the state’s buying power was not leveraged.
“A small municipality could never get the discounts,” adds
Brian Chapman, chief operating officer for the Illinois
Department of Central Management Services, “Now they
can benefit from the deal we’ve negotiated.”

Since 2000, JAM has been providing Microsoft marketing managers with direct marketing
and creative services for a variety of campaigns and initiatives including product launches,
upgrades, sales support, events and lead generation programs. Our first Microsoft project
was a “copy-only” assignment...it went well...and a full-service marketing relationship has
been cultivated over the last seven years.
In July 2004, Microsoft made JAM a Microsoft Preferred Vendor, at a time when Microsoft
chose to narrow its “local” agency relationships from a field of over 1,000 agencies to a
select list of approximately 30 agencies nationwide. Located in Washington, DC, JAM is now
one of the few smaller creative agencies outside the Seattle area authorized to work on
local customer marketing initiatives for Microsoft.
We’re proud of this achievement and will continue to earn our stripes as a Microsoft agency
partner. Our highly-knowledgeable account team of strategic planners, project managers,
graphic designers, copywriters and production specialists are serious and passionate about
helping Microsoft exceed its potential for years to come.
