Short-term:
• Disseminate knowledge on design protectionsystems and RegisteredCommunity Designs in particular.
• Recognise and reward successful designs and design managmenets in the industry.
Long-term:
• Raise awareness and understandingon the importance of design as an engine for innovation and growth.
(Design-intensiveindustriesare responsiblefor12% of employmentacross the EU, andgenerate12% of the EU’s GDP. )

The Industry Award
• For companies with over 50 employees and 10M EUR of annual turnover.
The Small and Emerging Companies Award
• For companies with less than the above, or companies set up after January1, 2014.
Designs will be judged on:
• Aestheticvalue and visual appeal.
• Demonstrableimpact on the market.
• Sound marketing and management of design.

Reserved for individual designers with a significant body of work of aesthetic value, created over the
course of a career, which has also had a demonstrable impact on the marketplace.

– RCDs over the last 10 years.
– SuccessfulIP management.

7. ELIGIBITLITY
DESIGNEUROPA AWARDS 2018
Who can participate?
• Companies or individuals owning a valid Registered Community Design (RCD), marketed and sold in any country.
• Companies or individuals not owning an RCD wishing to propose a candidate.
How to participate?
• Candidates can submit up to 5 entries (different RCDs and different designers).
• For the LifetimeAchievement Award, anyone may propose a candidate.
• Applications and nominations must be submitted using a web-form.

8. AWARDS CEREMONY
DESIGNEUROPA AWARDS 2018
The ceremony:
• November 27, 2018 in Warsaw, Poland (in collaborationwith UPRP).
• Announcement of the winners at a gala evening ceremony.

– Multiplyawardedstark andaloofbuilding.
