Try Different Materials for Your Design with Media Testing
1.
2. Last week, you were
working at the beginning
of the design process,
creating small
‘thumbnail’ designs, to
allow you to create
several options for you
Calligram, and then
selecting your most
successful design and
drawing it out on a piece
of A5 paper
3. This week, you are going to be doing something
called ‘media testing’. This means that you will be
trying out your designs with different materials to
see which one looks the best. All designers will do
this as a means to work out which medium with
represent their design in the most effective way.
4. As a Graphic Designer,
before doing any
final design, you are
expected to explore
a range of media (the
medium that you
choose to do your
work in, before
taking it to a final
outcome.
5. Create an A2 Media Board, using a range of
mediums. Draw out your design on A5 paper that
we can photocopy another 3 times to save you
drawing out you work repeatedly.
