Artist Lorenzo Petrantoni often
uses quirky 19th/20th century
Victorian portrait designs in his
artwork. This week, is all about
creating your own experiments.
For this task, choose one of the
Victorian Portraits, and create
your own experimental collage.
Use a combination of materials,
such as Newspaper. You may also
choose to add lettering, using the
wooden printing stamps, and the
plastic stencils.
3. To get started, choose one of the
A3 Victorian Portraits and CUT it
out and stick it onto an A2 black or
white board.
Using the newspaper, stamps,
stencils and found materials, make
construct your own Victorian style
portrait, taking inspiration from
Lorenzo Petrantoni.
Select text and words as part
of your piece, and your could
look at basing your portrait and
text words on a theme, such as:
• Mental Health
• Well being
• Power of positivity
• Confusion and distraction!
