2. PLUMSTEAD MANOR REVELS IN
SUCCESS AND HARMONY!
There were lots of smiles and lots of
celebration to go around for Plumstead Manor
Year 11 students, after receiving their GCSE
results last week Tuesday. 45% of students
received grades A*-C in all of their subjects,
and 70% of students achieved grades A*-C in
3 of their chosen GCSE subjects. Teachers and students are alike are thrilled
with the results, and are certain next years Year 11 students are to achieve the
same greatness with the great support and guidance given at the school.

SIXTH FORM BUILDING IS HERE AT LAST!
We have been waiting patiently for a block here at Plumstead Manor that will give them a more specialized area
to suit their needs, and at last, the wait is over! Our new block, which was named Lerner block, gives our year
12 and 13 students here a quieter place to learn and study for upcoming exams. The building itself is made up
of three floors; the first floor has a row of classrooms which are newly built for
better focus, the first floor is also used for Form and Vice Form Captain
meetings, to grab lunch at lunchtime with our smaller version of Hungry Minds,
to catch up on or complete any work with two rows of computers, and to have a
rest and a chat with our newly added sofas. The second too has a row of
classrooms, however a more extensive quantity of computers for year 12 and
13 students to use at break time, lunchtime
and during their free study periods. The
second floor has also had large windows
built in so students have a nice view of the
outside from the second floor. Our third
floor in Lerner once more contains a line of
classroom, with our Head of Sixth form office right beside in case students
have any worries or concerns or need to speak to anybody in charge of sixth
form. We hope our students here at Plumstead Manor are just as delighted
with the brilliant block addition to the school, as we know it will provide our
Year 12 and Year 13 students with a much calmer area for them to work,
focus and thrive in their upcoming lessons.
