1. Rap video genre
• A$AP Rocky – Peso is an example of rap video. In a
typical rap video we would expect to see the
person in a area that is relatively rundown and
relate to the lyrics. An example of this is in the
video is where the artist is seen to be “repping” his
home town Harlem. In the video this is exactly
what A$AP and his friends do. They also wear main
labels such as Adidas which is also something you
would expect to see in this type of video.
2. • Kanye West & Jay Z – No Church In The Wild. This is
a great example of a typical Hip-Hop video. This is
because in a video in this genre you would expect
to see a short anecdote that also links to the lyrics.
In this video there is a short anecdote of the
people rioting and fighting back against the police.
An example of a R&B video is Keri Hilsons “Knock
You Down” which is also an anecdote of a love
triangle.

3. Rock genre video
• Enter Shikari – Sssnakepit. Many rock videos are of
gigs that the bands have played. Another video
that they do are bands playing at house parties
with the teenagers around them dancing around,
thus making Sssnakepit a prime example of a rock
video. Many people would also expect to have a
high energy, this is also showcased in the video by
the artist.
4. Pop video genre
• Jessie J – Nobody’s Perfect. This is a good example
of a pop video as they are meant to appeal to the
younger generation. This applies to it as it uses the
story of Alice in Wonderland to get the message of
“Nobody’s Perfect” as they are all different same as
everyone in real life. It also deploys the message
that people shouldn’t listen to everyone else's
opinion of them as everyone is an individual.
