3. Who is the audience for the product?
We will be targeting our product to the age range 16 to 36, Middle to upper class, male and female.
We want to promote the product to this age range due to us wanting and knowing who will utilise
our product and who it will benefit the best.
The sophistication of the advert will ensure that the correct audience is attracted to the product
rather than the advert attracting people that will not be able to buy the product.
Also, the middle and upper classes genuinely have better classes with better products altogether and
more money
The psychographics are values, opinions and lifestyle
Maslow’s hierarchy falls under the esteem section as these people will want a product that looks good
and performs well
4. What is the style of your advert?
The style of our advert will be dramatic
The advert will be realist as we will be establishing realistic scenarios and then show how the product
will help you in that scenario.
The style would be dramatic so that we can engage the viewer and create a desire from to viewer to
the product urging them to purchase it.
5. How does it appeal to the target audience?
The sophistication of the advert will attract the audience and show that it is a smart product and has
been created professionally
The high key lighting is also showing that the product is positive and can improve the life of the
buyer
Many of the people that buy apple products do so for the logo. This means that they will be attracted
to the product, and others, because of the logo being shown at the end of the advert
6. Product type & Name?
Our product type will be in entertainment and productivity, this is because of the products ability
and strength, productivity is the main purpose of our product.
The name of our product is the Macbook pro with retina display. The product we are advertising will
has been created by apple.
7. What advertising guidelines (ASA / BCAP)?
There will be very few advertising guidelines that could impact us but the ones that can be a problem
would be copyright infringement on the instrumental.
Another guideline that could emerge would be misleading content, we should only promote what the
product can do once first purchase and not promote any third party apps as this could be seen as
misleading content.
8. How does it compare?
Our advert will compare to others in a positive way as we will take an idea and then develop it into
our own and adapt it to be more effective.
we will also be advertising the product in many different ways that other adverts in this genre don't
do, an example of this would be exploring the fact of portability and efficiency to a student.
