2. DESIGN
Here is where the
throne was born.
The idea of this
armchair for Santa
Claus was developed
by Sara Cecchini and
she was helped by a
group of our class.
The original drawing
was magnified so that
it could have the
actual measurements
of the throne.
3. SHAPE
We took the magnified design, that was on a sheet
of paper, and we put it on a piece of “styrodur”, (a
very strong polystyrene) the material that we
used for the throne. We retraced the drawing of
the armchair on the material and then we cut it
and shaped it.

5.
6. In some parts of the throne, to create bas-reliefs,
we used a particular tool: the milling machine.
7. ASSEMBLY
We took all the pieces of the throne that we had
realized and we assembled them using a special
glue.
8. Once assembled the throne was sanded and then
puttied.
Afterwards we coloured it using gold, white and
red.
9. If you want to see it or take a picture of it you can
find it in piazzale Lazzarini, in Pesaro.
