White Supremacy Is Influencing The Young People Of Today
Have you ever wondered if White Supremacy is influencing the young people of today the wrong
thing? Why should White Supremacy in America be abolished? Over more than 200 years,
White Supremacy has made an authority on the nation's history, often through the federal and
state laws, and it continues to be a visual element in the American society. White Supremacy was
created during the 19th century, during the removal of the Native American tribes in the east of
Mississippi to land west of the river. President Andrew Jackson thought native Americans and
whites should not coexist. White supremacy should be abolished due to the really bad influence
that is having on the young people of today. Some solutions that could help of the abolishment on
White Supremacy is Arrest White Supremacist groups, have racism marked as a crime, and
educate the population about racism and the harms of White Supremacy. Some opposing
arguments are that White Supremacy is not setting a bad example ,It is helping the environment.
However, this argument is not true.
White Supremacy is a type of racism that can be taken in many ways. For example,
(According to Jamie Liu from White Supremacy/Background .org), She states that Neo–Nazis, hate
crimes,Ku Klux Klan, and so many are being made to prove the point of "White is the superior
race". The topic of racism and White Supremacy is an outgoing issue not only in the
United States but in Europe, Africa, and even in

White Supremacy In To Kill A Mockingbird
How would you feel if a family member was convicted guilty when you and the jury know they
were innocent? Many African American families had that feeling because of unfair court trials in the
nineteenth and twentieth centuries. As reconstruction ended many things came about such as Jim
Crow laws, discrimination, and the idea of white supremacy. These laws, feelings, and ideas made it
so there were no fair trials with African Americans against Caucasians in the south in the late 1800s
and early 1900s. As the nineteenth century was coming to a close, Jim Crow laws were coming
about. These laws affected how blacks and whites were treated and what they could or could not do.
The Jim Crow laws discriminated against blacks in public places including ... Show more content on

White supremacy and superiority was an idea that turned into a belief among many that the white
race was better than the other races ("White Supremacy", Jenkins). White supremacy gave people
the idea that people of the white race were better than African Americans. People on the jury of
court trials were almost always white and had this idea in their brain which led to whites always
being considered innocent and African Americans guilty. This is shown in To Kill a Mockingbird
during the Tom Robinson trial when the jury was all white and they knew Tom was innocent but
because he was African American and was going against a white person he was considered guilty of
rape (Lee). Even though that particular example was from a book, it is based on true stories that
actually occurred. White supremacy was in the brains of whites and states only helped to support
this idea. States had "emphasized white superiority" because government were made up of whites
and that is what they believed in ("Student Edition Page 236"). When white superiority was brought
into the mix of things like the Jim Crow laws, it made discrimination and segregation worse and
more common. The idea of white superiority was brought into the court systems so every time an
African American was against a white in court, they would have no chance and would be found
guilty. In the United States the Jim Crow laws were

Essay I
The human brain is extremely complex containing countless mysteries. It has recently been
discovered that, the human brain is not hardwired and can be changed or trained according to one's
will. Which brings up the question how is information retained, what is learning? I agree with
Robert Gagne's definition of learning which is a change in human disposition or capability that
persists over a period of time and is not simply ascribable to processes of growth." Gagne (1985,
chapter 12). I can also agree with Richard Mayer's definition of learning, the relatively permanent
change in a person's knowledge or behavior due to experience. As I educate myself of the different
ways of learning white supremacy comes to mind. What is white supremacy and how did it come
about? How do individuals learn to associate themselves as a white supremacist?
White supremacy is the belief in the seniority of the white race. Elizabeth Martinez in her paper
"What is White Supremacy?" defines it in this way "White Supremacy is a historically based,
institutionally perpetuated system of exploitation and oppression of continents, nations, and peoples
of color by white peoples and nations of the European continent, for the purpose of maintaining and
defending a system of wealth, power, and privilege." White supremacy came about in the 1500s
when European powers began a process of conquest and colonization. The English and French

Star Wars Supremacy
Randu– Why Star Wars is About White supremacy The Star Wars franchise is well known for its
groundbreaking use of special effects, classical storytelling, and its massive impact to pop culture.
Due to the nostalgic effect the movie franchise has on modern day audiences few people have come
to question some of the darker undertones present in the original six movies. Their portrayal of non–
human alien races carries mildly offensive stereotypes, ranging from the Sand people of Tatooine to
the technologically inept Gunguns. Additionally, key plot points within the movies tend to resemble
real historical events charged with racial divides and struggles to prove superiority. Color also plays

White Supremacy Research Paper
There is a surge in violence in America since Donald Trump became president of the United States,
people might think that this type of violence may have to do with someone from the Middle East
killing Americans. However this has not happened since September 11, 2001 because most terrorist
attacks have been mostly carried out by people who are white and Christian. This is the core value
of White Supremacy which is defined as "a person who believes that the white race is inherently
superior to other races and that white people should have control over people of other race".

enforcement and the Federal government has to begin to combat terrorism especially Right wing
terrorism and white supremacist terrorism. Education is probably the most important key to fighting
this type of violence and parents should teach their children how to respect and treat another person
who seems vulnerable to this type of community. In addition important to stand up when you see
someone who is being attacked because of their race or religion because silence in the face of this

Analysis Of Gamble's The Supremacy Of The Male
The society has always perceived women as inferior or subordinate towards many concepts. In
Gamble's The Supremacy of the Male, the concept of female was represented as they have
perception, intuition and the greater power of endurance. What Gamble meant by the greater power
of endurance is that women have been oppressed since the very beginning by the society, which
gave them the power of endurance. This is slightly different from what Darwin's theory. Darwin's
characteristics of the female were inferior, less intelligent, smaller, and rounder, and have lighter
skin. In the scholarly source The Astronomer and the Witch, Rublack spoke about a 75–year–old
illiterate woman that was depicted as a witch just for being a woman and old. In the 17th century
anybody more importantly old woman could be accused of being a witch, and this is what happened
to Katharina Kepler. As Rublack states, "Anyone could be drawn into witchcraft. It was a horrific
idea which, in some areas, began to corrupt social trust" (pg. 1). Rublack here believes that in the
17th century it is easy to believe and to accuse anybody to be a witch. Not only women were
depicted as a witch but also men. However, there is much higher chance of women being accused of
being a witch compared to men. The case of Katharina Kepler proves that starting from the ... Show

Examples Of White Supremacy In Othello
"Othello" was a play written in the 1500's and it's perception has changed over time due to changes
in social environments. The play plants seeds of white supremacy in the play by the ways Othello,
the only black character in the play, acts and in some points be offensive. The play uses derogatory
language towards the Othello, has Othello be perceived as gullible, and the play used blackface. The
first example of white supremacy in the play was the use of blackface. When Shakespeare created
"Othello", he chose a white person for the role of Othello and put blackface on him. Blackface is
when a white actor play black role and puts dark makeup on for the role. The use of blackface could
be seen as a display of white supremacy because Shakespeare never used any black actors for his
roles despite writing black roles. Blackface additionally could be seen as offensive because it's
making a mockery of black as white actors are assimilating as black roles. ... Show more content on

Othello falls for Iago's lies and believes Desdemona is cheating on him. Shakespeare uses dramatic
irony in the play by having Iago speak to himself where he choreograph his plan to make Othello go
mad when Othello knows nothing about it. The audience believes Othello is dumb for not knowing
of Iago's plan as in the play Iago has been very outspoken of his plan to murder Desdemona. The
audience, at the time of when the play came out, mostly, or even all, believed black people as dumb
as they were perceived that way in books and newspapers. By Shakespeare feeding into that type of
audience, he makes the audience think they are superior to black people because they are miles

White Supremacy and Privilege

White supremacy is when a person believes that because they are white, that they have supremacy
over someone else. This is the standard phrase explaining what white supremacy is and has
dominated the mentality of our country for decades. It has been prevalent all over the US. The only
difference is that in the south, it seems to have been more amplified than in the north. When we
think of white supremacy, we usually think of it as something of the past due to the fact that in our
elementary, middle schools, and high schools; we are taught that it existed when slavery was still
alive and well in the United States and during the days of Martin Luther King and the freedom rides.
We learned about stories like, How to Kill a Mockingbird, Esperanza Rising, and Journey to Topaz.
They were all about how young girls saw white supremacy during their time. The main character,
Scout, from To Kill a Mockingbird, although she is from a white family, she sees it first hand during
the early 1930's. Esperanza, is a latina immigrant girl trying to make end's meet in California with
her mother during the Great Depression in Esperanza Rising. Then there is Yuki, a japanese
american girl who experiences life in the U.S. internment camps during World War 2 in Journey to
Topaz. We all learn about the past through the reading and retelling of all these wonderful stories

The Theory Of Supremacy Of Eu Law
To begin with a brief overview of how the concept of supremacy of EU law has evolved, initially,
the EEC Treaty contained no provision concerning the principle. However, the ECJ had the idea
from the early stage of the Community's existence, and touched on the principle of supremacy in
Van Gend en Loos, a case that was primarily concerned with the establishment of the doctorine of
direct effect, and put forward formally in the case of Costa v. Enel. In the latter case, it was stated by
the ECJ that "the precedence of Community law is confirmed by Article 189 [of Lisbon Treaty],
whereby the regulation 'shall be binding' and 'directly applicable' in all Member States." This is
because it "would be quite meaningless if a State could ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In fact, most members of the EU do not accept the ECJ view unconditionally – despite accepting the
requirements of supremacy in practice, most regard this as flowing from their national constitutions
and importantly, as no more than a voluntary choice, rather than it being imposed by the EU Treaties
or the ECJ. From this view, it may follow that it is still each nation who retains a power of ultimate
constitutional review over measures of EU Law; that is, legal sovereignty. This is where the debate
regarding supremacy of EU law and the sovereignty of each member state lies. In the following
paragraphs, I will conduct some case studies to present different reactions from the member states.
To begin with Britain, despite having a traditional constitutional system that directly confronted the
doctrine of supremacy of EU Law, it is one of the countries that accepts the supremacy of EU Law
and regards it prevails over its constitution. However, it required huge effort to adopt this principle
due to two main factors; United Kingdom being a dualist state, and the principle of parliamentary
sovereignty. Firstly, Britain is a dualist state, where, unlike many other continental European
countries that are monist, a treaty ratified by the Government has to be incorporated into its
domestic law in order for it to have an effect. Until this process is complete, the national courts have
no power to enforce treaty rights and obligations either on behalf of the Government or

Imperialistic Supremacy Summary
Imperialistic Supremacy revolves around the life of a Southern African male who was victimized by
the imperialism of Europeans throughout the nineteenth century. Protagonist character, Bogani, was
a member of the Zulu tribe and rebelled against European Imperialism along with other tribe
members during his abrupt life. The Zulu were a South African tribe that placed a heavy emphasis
on military organization and skill. Under the leadership of Shaka, founder of the Zulu Kingdom and
a significant person in Bongani's life, the Zulu increased their land claims throughout Southern
Africa by Imperialism.
In 1803, a year before Bongani's birth, Shaka was unfortunately taken away from the Zulu tribe as a
punishment seventeen years ago and was raised by the Mthethwa tribe – a tribe that also sought
political and social dominance over Southern Africa similar to Zulu – and later joined their army as
a warrior. Shaka quickly earns a reputation of being a ferocious warrior and becomes very skillful
with close combat weapons such as throwing spears and diabolical blunt sticks. By nature, Shaka is
fearless and aggressive, he seeks to create a brand new warrior culture similar to his personality. ...

Unfortunately as a negative outcome, the Zulu people were defeated by the British Army and were
forced to surrender their land to the British Empire. However, Britain's victory granted them with
the positive outcomes of imperialism. Not only did Britain acquire the desired Diamond Ore from
Southern Africa, but also obtained other raw materials and natural resources such as tropical fruits,

White Supremacy In The 1920s

those they saw unfit, such as blacks, catholics, those involved in an interracial relationship, the
mentally challenged, immigrants, radicals, and those with psychological problems. The Ku Klux

Caesar Supremacy Essay
Caesar Supremacy Review
Within the online casino realm it appears that many developers are happy to lean on set themes
when they need to create a new game. One of these themes is the time of Ancient Rome, as time and
time again, players have seen images of the coliseum being rolled out within real money slots.
Casino Web Scripts have stepped up to revisit this classic theme, expect they have done so with a
twist. If you remember the classic comic book Asterix and Obelix, you are sure to find the design of
Caesar Supremacy extremely familiar.
The design of Caesar Supremacy is certainly satirical, but this is by no means a game that hangs its
hat on design alone. Caesar Supremacy is attempting to show the world that Casino Web Scripts
have the ability to create a game with real "all–rounder" potential. Question is, does Caesar

Supremacy of Eu Law
Supremacy/ Primacy of European Union Law
Introduction:
State sovereignty and supremacy of European Union law are traditionally seen as fundamentally
opposite in nature. The rights of states to deal with national issues internally, in compliance with
national law, versus the obligation on states to subordinate national law to Community law.
Where it is contained:
Historically the EEC treaty contained no provision dealing with the concept of supremacy of
Community law over the national law of member states. In fact, treaties were generally silent as to
the nature of the relationship between EU law and national law except for a general obligation

Communities and the existing and future acts adopted by the institutions of those Communities shall
be binding on the State and shall be part of the domestic law thereof under the conditions laid down
in those treaties." therefore, formally binding all member states, including Ireland, to comply with
Community law.
The Irish position is best described in the case of Maher v Minister for Agriculture and Food (2001):
Keane CJ in the Supreme Court stated that
'The jurisprudence of the Courts of Justice of the European Communities has, of course, established
that the law of the communities, whether embodied in regulations or directives, must be given
primacy, where it is applicable, over the domestic law of the member States.' ...'
The result [of the various referenda] was a historic transfer of legislative, executive and judicial
sovereignty to the European Communities and, as a result of further referenda, the European Union.
In particular, the exclusive roles hitherto enjoyed by the Oireachtas in the legislative field and the
courts in the administration of justice were significantly abridged.
The developing jurisprudence of the European Court of Justice also made it clear that there existed
effectively an autonomous European legal order and that the member States were obliged to
acknowledge the primacy of Community law over national law in areas where it

Maimonides On The Supremacy Of God
Although both of Maimonides arguments of negative theology focus on the way Gods supremacy is
limited by language, each argument analyzes different aspects of these language limitations.
According to the second argument predicative language creates limitations in regards to God's
transcendence, by grouping God under the same category as other objects. A predicate is used in a
sentence as a way to organize numerous objects or items under a single category, thus when we use
predicative language to describe God we are insulting the supremacy of God by connecting him to
another object. For example if we say that God exists or that God is one and we also say that the

The Issue Of National Supremacy
The issue of National Supremacy is one that is addressed through several cases decided by the
Marshall Court. National Supremacy refers to the idea that when a conflict arises between a state
law and a federal law, the federal law will take precedence. It comes from the Supremacy Clause in
Article Six, Clause 2 of the United States Constitution. The clause makes the U.S. Constitution, its
treaties, and its federal laws the highest laws in the country. McCullough v. Maryland (1819) and
Gibbons v. Ogden (1824) are two of the most important cases concerning National Supremacy that
came to the Supreme Court during John Marshall 's time as chief justice. While McCullough deals
with the right of the federal government to create its own bank, Gibbons deals with the right of the
federal government to regulate interstate and foreign commerce. Gibbons v. Ogden centers on the
question of the meaning of the word "commerce." It concerns whether a state government can make
an exclusive contract with an individual for a steamboat line that runs between New York and New
Jersey on its waterways. An issue arises when New Jersey wants to make a contract with someone
going back and forth from New York to New Jersey. The issue the Supreme Court needed to decide
was who help the power to regulate bodies of water, or more specifically, who could regulate
navigation. The Court determined the definition of commerce was "intercourse." This mean that

The Principle Of Supremacy Of European Union
This essay will examine and evaluate the principle of supremacy of European Union ('EU') law
since its 'inception in the two fundamental authorities' of Van Gend en Loos v Nederlandse
Administratie and Costa v ENEL analyzing how these cases established 'an autonomous legal order
which limits national sovereignty' . Using Professor Weiler's prism of 'bi–dimensionalism' this essay
will examine supremacy through two viewpoints, how the Court of Justice of the European Union
('CJEU') has looked at the supremacy of EU law and how the national courts have viewed the
supremacy. Whilst the EU may have one view, the second part of bi–dimensionalism is how the
Member States have reviewed and interpreted the EU decisions reconciling them with ... Show more

However again this higher status can be seen as limited as is only assumed from a written
obligation. Therefore to asses if supremacy is not the challenge to member state sovereignty that is
appears to be, a close analysis of how the CJEU has dealt with the issue of supremacy of EU law in
case law is needed, firstly looking at Van Gend en Loos which stated that the 'EU was a new legal
order permanently limiting the sovereign rights of the Member State'. This customs case helped
establish the 'relationships between the European Union and international law...to grantee that the
rules of one system are complied with in another legal order ' showing in practise that if on a
national level EU law is breached CJEU will take supremacy and comply with 'the integrity of the
EU legal order' . Further evaluation of the limits of the supremacy can be seen in the case of Costa V
ENEL where 'Italy had claimed that the EU treaties...had been transposed into the Italian legal order
by national legislation, which could therefore be derogated by subsequent national legislation. The
court rejected this presumption of the supremacy of national law by insisting on the supremacy of
EU law' . This case holds significance as it 'is well–known since Costa V ENEL the court has
affirmed the supremacy of Community law over national law' strongly suggesting the continued
existence of EU supremacy is not frequently

Allowing national law to take precedence over community law would result in a fractious legal

The case concerned the creation of E.N.E.L an Italian electricity company by the Italian government

nineteenth century. Primarily natives and Chinese immigrants in California were affected by the
presence of white Americans during this time. With the presence of "foreign" groups, white
Americans had to establish means of asserting themselves as the dominant group. This usually
manifested itself as laws. As a result, the laws passed legitimized the racialization of Indian and
Chinese people. In the case of native Americans, many laws were passed to suppress the natives. For
example, there was consideration of allowing natives to vote, but that never made it to the final draft
of California's constitution. This limited the political abilities of

Summary Of The Bourne Supremacy
Intensified continuity as a concept had four parts to it that contributed to it. The first involved the
use of rapid editing techniques meaning quicker cuts. With audiences slowly beginning to expect
this sort of action they became accustomed and began enjoying these types of films. The next style
was using a tight frame anytime there was a dialogue between characters or the scene itself. By
focusing in on the actor, it placed an importance they compared the scene itself. The next style
meant using motion in shots, allowing the director to convey to the audience about the emotion
involved in that scene, using different lens lengths. Like using long lenses in outdoor shots catching
the action that was happening farther away or using a wide–angle lens to capture more of what's
going on in the scene. In the film, The Bourne Supremacy a 2004 mystery crime based film that
follows Matt Damon's character Jason Bourne who's is framed by a Russian operative for stealing
millions of dollars from the CIA. That same operative begins the hit for Jason hell bent on
assassinating him. Intensified continuity in this movie is essentially using short, focused shots on the
protagonists to maintain the audience's attention. But each of these shots has a single purpose which
conveys the small snippet of information needed for the audience to maintain their attention with the
movie. With the Bourne Supremacy, it all tends to follow the specifics of the CIA attempts in
hunting him down to sub

The Acts of Supremacy
The first Act of Supremacy was introduced by Henry VIII in 1534 during his rule of England. Later,
when Elizabeth I came to the throne, the second Act of Supremacy was introduced to bring back the
reforms that Mary had abolished. Both of these acts have many similarities but also some
fundamental differences that helped indicate the type of ruler each monarch would be. Before
discussing the differences it is important to first understand how the Act of Supremacy came about.
Little is known about Henry's childhood because as the second born he was never intended to
become King. When his elder brother Arthur died months after his marriage to Catherine of Aragon
Henry became the heir to the throne of England. Catherine stayed in the English court after the death
of her husband and was betrothed to Henry . It was many years before the two finally married.
Catherine did give birth to a male heir but unfortunately the child did not survive . There were many
more attempts for a male heir but in the end the only surviving child of Henry and Catherine was
Mary Tudor who would later ascend to the throne in July 1553 . Because Catherine was unable to
produce a surviving male heir Henry sought to get an annulment of their marriage. The pope would
not grant this and so Henry created the Act of Supremacy declaring himself the 'supreme head of the
Church of England ' in 1534. By naming himself as the supreme head of the Church, Henry no
longer needed to answer to the Pope or the Roman

The Issue Of National Supremacy
The issue of national supremacy is one that is addressed through several cases decided by the
Marshall Court. McCullough v. Maryland (1819) and Gibbons v. Ogden (1824) are two of the most
important cases concerning national supremacy that came to the Supreme Court during John
Marshall 's time as chief justice. While McCullough deals with the right of the federal government
to create its own bank, Gibbons deals with the right of the federal government to regulate interstate
and foreign commerce. National supremacy refers to the idea that when there is a conflict between a
state law and a federal law, the federal law takes precedence. It comes from the Supremacy Clause
in Article Six, Clause 2 of the United States Constitution. The clause makes the United States
Constitution, its treaties, and its federal laws the highest laws in the land. Gibbons v. Ogden (1824)
centers on the question of the meaning of the word "commerce" and whether a state government can
make a contract with an individual giving him exclusive rights to run a steamboat line between New
York and New Jersey on the waterways. An issue arises when New Jersey then wants to make a
contract with someone going back and forth from New York. The question becomes who holds the
power to regulate the water. The Court determined the definition of commerce is "intercourse,"
which means that even if a body of water is located in New York it comes under the jurisdiction of
interstate because at some point the

Taylor Swift Supremacy
Is Taylor Swift subtly supporting white supremacy through her music? One blogger certainly thinks
so and has penned a blog post about Taylor's silence in the wake of white nationalists and alt–right
members co–opting lyrics in her song. Taylor Swift threatened to sue the author of the post for
defamation and was quickly blasted by the ACLU for bullying, saying the racist allegations are
protected free speech. A potential court battle is brewing between Taylor Swift and the American
Civil Liberties Union. The nonpartisan nonprofit organization notified Taylor's attorneys that it

country, the recent rise of white supremacy, and the fact that some white supremacists have
apparently embraced Ms. Swift, along with a critical interpretation of some of Ms. Swift's music,
lyrics, and videos. "Criticism is never pleasant, but a celebrity has to shake it off, even if the critique
may damage her reputation, not even in your wildest dreams could Swift's claims constitute
defamation." Herning decried Taylor's actions, saying the press should not succumb to bully tactics
from rich celebrities and well–compensated attorneys retained to fight their battles against
diminutive figures. "These scare tactics may have worked for Taylor in the past, but I am not

The Bourne Supremacy
In Goa, India, Jason Bourne and Marie Kreutz were living a peaceful and quiet life, with Bourne
still suffering from amnesia, and he was experiencing flashback memories and slowly remembering
and gaining memories of his prior life, and learning about the assassinations he had committed.
Berlin, Pamela Landy CIA Deputy Director was leading an operation deal worth three million
dollars of US money, purchasing Neski documents with twenty million dollars in allocations from
seven years ago. When a Russian Federal secret service agent named Kirill framed Bourne, by

Essay On Supremacy Clause
Supremacy Clause Are South Coast's fleet rules preempted by the federal Clean Air Act?
(Cheeseman 79) The Supremacy clause of the U.S. Constitution establishes that the federal
constitution, and federal law generally, take precedence over state laws, and even state constitutions.
While in this particular matter, the statutes of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) would
generally trump the state level regulations of organizations such as the California Air Resources
Board (CARB), however the EPA has also mandated that "The setting of these pollutant standards
was coupled with directing the states to develop state implementation plans (SIPs), applicable to
appropriate industrial sources in the state, in order to achieve these standards." (EPA, 2015) The
standards in questions are called National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) ... Show more

Often times these more stringent standards are put in place by the EPA as federal standards after
research and testing has been accomplished by those states. An example of this is the required use of
Catalytic converters on pollution controlled motor vehicles in 1974 in California, two years later in
1976, the EPA required the use of Catalytic converters on all pollution controlled motor vehicles
nationwide. Due to the fact that South Coast's standards are more stringent than federal standards,
the "association" would find that the Supreme Court is more likely to uphold the decisions of the
lower courts; at that time, it is then set at the highest level court and future court cases will have to
look at that precedent as the standard. If the South Coast standard were set at a lower level than the
federal standard established by the EPA, then this is a situation where the Supremacy clause of the
Constitution would come into play in order to mandate compliance with federal law. Equal

White Supremacy is the belief that white people are superior to those of all other races, especially
the black race. With this ideology White Supremacy has slowly been changing who many
Americans would consider to be Muslims. Many White Supremacy seem to put themselves on top

what it shows they have made one group of people seem as though they are fierce animals what will

political movement meaning that whites should rule politically and socially. The Civil War raised
the idea that our country had been ruled by the white, seeing as prior to the end of the Civil War,
almost all of the blacks in America were slaves. The "Separate but equal" act was enabled to oppose

Race As A System Of White Supremacy
Most people today might assume that our society's concept of race–as a system of white supremacy–
formed as an inevitable conclusion of the idea of white superiority. However, while the two concepts
are indeed intrinsically linked, the order of the relationship is often misunderstood. One did not
beget the other; in fact, the two concepts arose simultaneously in the late 1600s, following Bacon's
Rebellion. If one examines the history of race in America, one will find that our idea of race has its
roots in the ruthless capitalist pragmatism of the elite, with white supremacy simply serving as an
effective means to an end.
In Colonial Virginia, the growing tobacco economy required ever increasing numbers of workers to
manage such a labor–intensive crop. For much of the 1600s, the large portion of farm laborers
consisted of European indentured servants, with the lesser portion made up of African indentured
servants, and an even smaller number of slaves. This early Virginian society was surely aware of
racial differences; indeed, some racial disparities did exist. For example, Europeans and Africans
were often punished differently for committing the same crime. However, the majority of colonists
identified with one another not on a racial basis, but on the basis of class and shared experiences,
and the idea of white superiority was largely peripheral. Servants, slaves, and laborers of all races
worked together, "married each other, ran away with each other, lived as neighbors,

The Fight For Success And Supremacy
Within that last flicker hitting 270 electoral votes, our new and prosperous, presidential candidate,
has been chosen to become our 45th president. Among the upcoming 2016 election, there holds to
be no question that the Democratic party shall claim victory. Throughout establishing concrete,
precise, and well–developed reasoning, democrats hold a more justifiable trust to guiding America.
However, the predicament comes to be which democratic candidate, can lead America to drift back
into the "superpower" title, that they had once been privileged to be called. A time, where the United
States was upholding the title as the most extensive, well–establish, and on–going economy, in
which, increased the dependencies of other nations towards them. Nevertheless, the only democratic
candidate between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders, that would join us in the fight for success
and supremacy is Bernie Sanders. How can this be possible? Bernie Sanders has been implementing
conclusive plans, within legal immigration, tax reforms, health care, and national security/terrorism
regulations. Within Sanders ' legal immigration stance, pleads how long–term staying individuals,
shall be allowed to receive their documents without having a criminal record. An act so well
justifiable that only makes Sanders closer to the potential of being our next president. In addition,
Sanders ' tax reform promotes the improvements to be made to the majority class, the middle–class.

I’M Analyzing The Effect Of Racism And White Supremacy
I'm analyzing the effect of racism and white supremacy in the movie "Get Out". It was recently
released to theatre that tells the story of an interracial couple named Chris and Rose and their trip to
visit Rose's family. The plot starts out simple with it just being a weekend out of the city to be a
thriller horror story. Once they get there Chris notices some strange things happening. At the start it
seems like everyone is very uncomfortable around African Americans. Especially at the family's
annual party with all their friends, unknown to Chris this party was actually an auction to buy Chris.
Not until a little later does he find out that the family is apart is actually the leaders of a secret white

The older couple is stereotyping Chris' athletic ability to his race and that he could excel in any sport
if he just tried it. The second was their remark about how he knew Tiger Woods, he was using this to
diffuse the tension of the conversation by implying that since he is friends with a African American
he is completely comfortable with all black people. His need to divulge this information clearly
shows that he is uncomfortable around Chris. The man also probably assumed that Chris knew who
he was talking about since they were the same race which stereotypes African American's that
implies that they all know each other which makes no rational sense. This stereotype is harmful to
interracial relations because interactions can become more hostile due to people just assuming that
they have pre existing connections to one another. We develop these racial stereotypes in various
ways, on the simplest level it is human nature to categorize people. This usually happens when we
are younger, as we grow older and are influenced by media, parents, and peers our tendency to label
different racial groups as bad/inferior or good/superior increases significantly. The less contact we
have with a specific racial group, the higher the probability we are to have negative feelings about
the group. Any negative experiences that we have with an individual of a particular group will

writers of the constitution couldn't have possibly dreamed of, yet they established the supreme court
to deal with this. For certain issues that the constitution directly addresses, they should be
inarguable, yet for others that may be touched upon but addressed it is up to the supreme court to
address via Roe v. Wade. The gay marriage debate should be over at this point, the Supreme court as

White Supremacy In Anthropology Essay
There is an appallingly long standing history of white supremacy in this world, embedded in the
anglo–saxon cultures of Britain, France, and The United States. Past and some present leaders of
these nations claimed that their Christianity and invincible military powers gave them the inherent
right and obligation to conquer and manage the world. Whiteness was considered a direct assertion
of superiority and with this racial superiority came a mission. In the late 19th century, the British
and Americans assumed the responsibility of "educating" and "civilizing" victims of their
colonization, which included almost all of Africa and large parts of Asia. The rise of imperialism
prompted a desire to learn about the inhabitants of these colonies (Mullings). The resulting study of
human beings–including the language, culture, and physiological makeup– is now known as
anthropology. Anthropology is the study of the development human societies and cultures based on
biologic and social observation (Britannica). It is fair to say that given the European perspective on
Africans and Asians at the time, the researchers likely viewed their subjects through condescension
(Mullings). The mere fact that historians felt entitled to simply utilize a group of humans as a
subject field, with or without their consent, in an experiment demonstrates a complete disregard of
ethical and moral principles of human rights. Despite a transformation in the anthropology field,
white supremacy remains a

Essay On White Supremacy
The first European settlers, which were known as the English, Irish, German, Dutch, etc. is where
'White Supremacy' originated from; which is dated back as early as the 17th century. Ever since the
American Civil War, which start in 1861 and ended in 1865, white supremacy has conquered the
United States. For centuries white supremacy groups have forced their own beliefs onto the black
community. Rather it be in slaving four million of them because they didn't believe that black people
where human, or forcing them to change their entire life styles to fit the white people's agenda and
what they believed should be the way of the world. White supremacy group has always played a

White Supremacy's Influence on Youth

  • 1. White Supremacy Is Influencing The Young People Of Today Have you ever wondered if White Supremacy is influencing the young people of today the wrong thing? Why should White Supremacy in America be abolished? Over more than 200 years, White Supremacy has made an authority on the nation's history, often through the federal and state laws, and it continues to be a visual element in the American society. White Supremacy was created during the 19th century, during the removal of the Native American tribes in the east of Mississippi to land west of the river. President Andrew Jackson thought native Americans and whites should not coexist. White supremacy should be abolished due to the really bad influence that is having on the young people of today. Some solutions that could help of the abolishment on White Supremacy is Arrest White Supremacist groups, have racism marked as a crime, and educate the population about racism and the harms of White Supremacy. Some opposing arguments are that White Supremacy is not setting a bad example ,It is helping the environment. However, this argument is not true. White Supremacy is a type of racism that can be taken in many ways. For example, (According to Jamie Liu from White Supremacy/Background .org), She states that Neo–Nazis, hate crimes,Ku Klux Klan, and so many are being made to prove the point of "White is the superior race". The topic of racism and White Supremacy is an outgoing issue not only in the United States but in Europe, Africa, and even in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 3. White Supremacy In To Kill A Mockingbird How would you feel if a family member was convicted guilty when you and the jury know they were innocent? Many African American families had that feeling because of unfair court trials in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. As reconstruction ended many things came about such as Jim Crow laws, discrimination, and the idea of white supremacy. These laws, feelings, and ideas made it so there were no fair trials with African Americans against Caucasians in the south in the late 1800s and early 1900s. As the nineteenth century was coming to a close, Jim Crow laws were coming about. These laws affected how blacks and whites were treated and what they could or could not do. The Jim Crow laws discriminated against blacks in public places including ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... White supremacy and superiority was an idea that turned into a belief among many that the white race was better than the other races ("White Supremacy", Jenkins). White supremacy gave people the idea that people of the white race were better than African Americans. People on the jury of court trials were almost always white and had this idea in their brain which led to whites always being considered innocent and African Americans guilty. This is shown in To Kill a Mockingbird during the Tom Robinson trial when the jury was all white and they knew Tom was innocent but because he was African American and was going against a white person he was considered guilty of rape (Lee). Even though that particular example was from a book, it is based on true stories that actually occurred. White supremacy was in the brains of whites and states only helped to support this idea. States had "emphasized white superiority" because government were made up of whites and that is what they believed in ("Student Edition Page 236"). When white superiority was brought into the mix of things like the Jim Crow laws, it made discrimination and segregation worse and more common. The idea of white superiority was brought into the court systems so every time an African American was against a white in court, they would have no chance and would be found guilty. In the United States the Jim Crow laws were ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 5. White Supremacy Definition Shaniqua Hester PSYC 3313 9/27/17 Essay I The human brain is extremely complex containing countless mysteries. It has recently been discovered that, the human brain is not hardwired and can be changed or trained according to one's will. Which brings up the question how is information retained, what is learning? I agree with Robert Gagne's definition of learning which is a change in human disposition or capability that persists over a period of time and is not simply ascribable to processes of growth." Gagne (1985, chapter 12). I can also agree with Richard Mayer's definition of learning, the relatively permanent change in a person's knowledge or behavior due to experience. As I educate myself of the different ways of learning white supremacy comes to mind. What is white supremacy and how did it come about? How do individuals learn to associate themselves as a white supremacist? White supremacy is the belief in the seniority of the white race. Elizabeth Martinez in her paper "What is White Supremacy?" defines it in this way "White Supremacy is a historically based, institutionally perpetuated system of exploitation and oppression of continents, nations, and peoples of color by white peoples and nations of the European continent, for the purpose of maintaining and defending a system of wealth, power, and privilege." White supremacy came about in the 1500s when European powers began a process of conquest and colonization. The English and French fought many battles in the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Their portrayal of non– human alien races carries mildly offensive stereotypes, ranging from the Sand people of Tatooine to the technologically inept Gunguns. • 13. White Supremacy Research Paper There is a surge in violence in America since Donald Trump became president of the United States, people might think that this type of violence may have to do with someone from the Middle East killing Americans. However this has not happened since September 11, 2001 because most terrorist attacks have been mostly carried out by people who are white and Christian. This is the core value of White Supremacy which is defined as "a person who believes that the white race is inherently superior to other races and that white people should have control over people of other race". • 15. Analysis Of Gamble's The Supremacy Of The Male The society has always perceived women as inferior or subordinate towards many concepts. In Gamble's The Supremacy of the Male, the concept of female was represented as they have perception, intuition and the greater power of endurance. What Gamble meant by the greater power of endurance is that women have been oppressed since the very beginning by the society, which gave them the power of endurance. This is slightly different from what Darwin's theory. Darwin's characteristics of the female were inferior, less intelligent, smaller, and rounder, and have lighter skin. In the scholarly source The Astronomer and the Witch, Rublack spoke about a 75–year–old illiterate woman that was depicted as a witch just for being a woman and old. In the 17th century anybody more importantly old woman could be accused of being a witch, and this is what happened to Katharina Kepler. As Rublack states, "Anyone could be drawn into witchcraft. It was a horrific idea which, in some areas, began to corrupt social trust" (pg. 1). Rublack here believes that in the 17th century it is easy to believe and to accuse anybody to be a witch. Not only women were depicted as a witch but also men. However, there is much higher chance of women being accused of being a witch compared to men. The case of Katharina Kepler proves that starting from the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The play plants seeds of white supremacy in the play by the ways Othello, the only black character in the play, acts and in some points be offensive. The play uses derogatory language towards the Othello, has Othello be perceived as gullible, and the play used blackface. The first example of white supremacy in the play was the use of blackface. When Shakespeare created "Othello", he chose a white person for the role of Othello and put blackface on him. Blackface is when a white actor play black role and puts dark makeup on for the role. The use of blackface could be seen as a display of white supremacy because Shakespeare never used any black actors for his roles despite writing black roles. • 19. A Look Into : White Supremacy And Privilege A Look Into: White Supremacy and Privilege Denali Meshew N. George Soc321 July 22, 2015 White supremacy is when a person believes that because they are white, that they have supremacy over someone else. This is the standard phrase explaining what white supremacy is and has dominated the mentality of our country for decades. It has been prevalent all over the US. The only difference is that in the south, it seems to have been more amplified than in the north. When we think of white supremacy, we usually think of it as something of the past due to the fact that in our elementary, middle schools, and high schools; we are taught that it existed when slavery was still alive and well in the United States and during the days of Martin Luther King and the freedom rides. We learned about stories like, How to Kill a Mockingbird, Esperanza Rising, and Journey to Topaz. They were all about how young girls saw white supremacy during their time. The main character, Scout, from To Kill a Mockingbird, although she is from a white family, she sees it first hand during the early 1930's. Esperanza, is a latina immigrant girl trying to make end's meet in California with her mother during the Great Depression in Esperanza Rising. Then there is Yuki, a japanese american girl who experiences life in the U.S. internment camps during World War 2 in Journey to Topaz. • 21. The Theory Of Supremacy Of Eu Law To begin with a brief overview of how the concept of supremacy of EU law has evolved, initially, the EEC Treaty contained no provision concerning the principle. However, the ECJ had the idea from the early stage of the Community's existence, and touched on the principle of supremacy in Van Gend en Loos, a case that was primarily concerned with the establishment of the doctorine of direct effect, and put forward formally in the case of Costa v. Enel. In the latter case, it was stated by the ECJ that "the precedence of Community law is confirmed by Article 189 [of Lisbon Treaty], whereby the regulation 'shall be binding' and 'directly applicable' in all Member States." This is because it "would be quite meaningless if a State could ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In fact, most members of the EU do not accept the ECJ view unconditionally – despite accepting the requirements of supremacy in practice, most regard this as flowing from their national constitutions and importantly, as no more than a voluntary choice, rather than it being imposed by the EU Treaties or the ECJ. From this view, it may follow that it is still each nation who retains a power of ultimate constitutional review over measures of EU Law; that is, legal sovereignty. This is where the debate regarding supremacy of EU law and the sovereignty of each member state lies. In the following paragraphs, I will conduct some case studies to present different reactions from the member states. To begin with Britain, despite having a traditional constitutional system that directly confronted the doctrine of supremacy of EU Law, it is one of the countries that accepts the supremacy of EU Law and regards it prevails over its constitution. However, it required huge effort to adopt this principle due to two main factors; United Kingdom being a dualist state, and the principle of parliamentary sovereignty. Firstly, Britain is a dualist state, where, unlike many other continental European countries that are monist, a treaty ratified by the Government has to be incorporated into its domestic law in order for it to have an effect. Until this process is complete, the national courts have no power to enforce treaty rights and obligations either on behalf of the Government or ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Imperialistic Supremacy Summary Imperialistic Supremacy revolves around the life of a Southern African male who was victimized by the imperialism of Europeans throughout the nineteenth century. Protagonist character, Bogani, was a member of the Zulu tribe and rebelled against European Imperialism along with other tribe members during his abrupt life. The Zulu were a South African tribe that placed a heavy emphasis on military organization and skill. Under the leadership of Shaka, founder of the Zulu Kingdom and a significant person in Bongani's life, the Zulu increased their land claims throughout Southern Africa by Imperialism. In 1803, a year before Bongani's birth, Shaka was unfortunately taken away from the Zulu tribe as a punishment seventeen years ago and was raised by the Mthethwa tribe – a tribe that also sought political and social dominance over Southern Africa similar to Zulu – and later joined their army as a warrior. Shaka quickly earns a reputation of being a ferocious warrior and becomes very skillful with close combat weapons such as throwing spears and diabolical blunt sticks. One of these themes is the time of Ancient Rome, as time and time again, players have seen images of the coliseum being rolled out within real money slots. Casino Web Scripts have stepped up to revisit this classic theme, expect they have done so with a twist. If you remember the classic comic book Asterix and Obelix, you are sure to find the design of Caesar Supremacy extremely familiar. The design of Caesar Supremacy is certainly satirical, but this is by no means a game that hangs its hat on design alone. Where it is contained: Historically the EEC treaty contained no provision dealing with the concept of supremacy of Community law over the national law of member states. The Irish position is best described in the case of Maher v Minister for Agriculture and Food (2001): Keane CJ in the Supreme Court stated that 'The jurisprudence of the Courts of Justice of the European Communities has, of course, established that the law of the communities, whether embodied in regulations or directives, must be given primacy, where it is applicable, over the domestic law of the member States.' ...' The result [of the various referenda] was a historic transfer of legislative, executive and judicial sovereignty to the European Communities and, as a result of further referenda, the European Union. In particular, the exclusive roles hitherto enjoyed by the Oireachtas in the legislative field and the courts in the administration of justice were significantly abridged. Maimonides On The Supremacy Of God Although both of Maimonides arguments of negative theology focus on the way Gods supremacy is limited by language, each argument analyzes different aspects of these language limitations. According to the second argument predicative language creates limitations in regards to God's transcendence, by grouping God under the same category as other objects. A predicate is used in a sentence as a way to organize numerous objects or items under a single category, thus when we use predicative language to describe God we are insulting the supremacy of God by connecting him to another object. • 35. The Issue Of National Supremacy The issue of National Supremacy is one that is addressed through several cases decided by the Marshall Court. National Supremacy refers to the idea that when a conflict arises between a state law and a federal law, the federal law will take precedence. It comes from the Supremacy Clause in Article Six, Clause 2 of the United States Constitution. The clause makes the U.S. Constitution, its treaties, and its federal laws the highest laws in the country. McCullough v. Maryland (1819) and Gibbons v. Ogden (1824) are two of the most important cases concerning National Supremacy that came to the Supreme Court during John Marshall 's time as chief justice. While McCullough deals with the right of the federal government to create its own bank, Gibbons deals with the right of the federal government to regulate interstate and foreign commerce. Gibbons v. Ogden centers on the question of the meaning of the word "commerce." It concerns whether a state government can make an exclusive contract with an individual for a steamboat line that runs between New York and New Jersey on its waterways. An issue arises when New Jersey wants to make a contract with someone going back and forth from New York to New Jersey. The issue the Supreme Court needed to decide was who help the power to regulate bodies of water, or more specifically, who could regulate navigation. The Court determined the definition of commerce was "intercourse." This mean that even if a body of water was located ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 37. The Principle Of Supremacy Of European Union This essay will examine and evaluate the principle of supremacy of European Union ('EU') law since its 'inception in the two fundamental authorities' of Van Gend en Loos v Nederlandse Administratie and Costa v ENEL analyzing how these cases established 'an autonomous legal order which limits national sovereignty' . Using Professor Weiler's prism of 'bi–dimensionalism' this essay will examine supremacy through two viewpoints, how the Court of Justice of the European Union ('CJEU') has looked at the supremacy of EU law and how the national courts have viewed the supremacy. Whilst the EU may have one view, the second part of bi–dimensionalism is how the Member States have reviewed and interpreted the EU decisions reconciling them with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However again this higher status can be seen as limited as is only assumed from a written obligation. Therefore to asses if supremacy is not the challenge to member state sovereignty that is appears to be, a close analysis of how the CJEU has dealt with the issue of supremacy of EU law in case law is needed, firstly looking at Van Gend en Loos which stated that the 'EU was a new legal order permanently limiting the sovereign rights of the Member State'. This customs case helped establish the 'relationships between the European Union and international law...to grantee that the rules of one system are complied with in another legal order ' showing in practise that if on a national level EU law is breached CJEU will take supremacy and comply with 'the integrity of the EU legal order' . Further evaluation of the limits of the supremacy can be seen in the case of Costa V ENEL where 'Italy had claimed that the EU treaties...had been transposed into the Italian legal order by national legislation, which could therefore be derogated by subsequent national legislation. The court rejected this presumption of the supremacy of national law by insisting on the supremacy of EU law' . This case holds significance as it 'is well–known since Costa V ENEL the court has affirmed the supremacy of Community law over national law' strongly suggesting the continued existence of EU supremacy is not frequently ... The rights of states to deal with national issues internally, in compliance with national law, versus the obligation on states to subordinate national law to Community law. Where it is contained: Historically the EEC treaty contained no provision dealing with the concept of supremacy of Community law over the national law of member states. The case concerned the creation of E.N.E.L an Italian electricity company by the Italian government under a law passed in 1962 to nationalise the electricity industry. Costa refused to pay his electricity bill on the basis that the nationalisation of electricity providers infringed the Italian Constitution and several provisions of the EC treaty. The ECJ in deciding the case stated that: " the precedence of community law is confirmed by article 189 (now 288) of the treaty, whereby a regulation shall be binding and directly applicable on all member states. Primarily natives and Chinese immigrants in California were affected by the presence of white Americans during this time. With the presence of "foreign" groups, white Americans had to establish means of asserting themselves as the dominant group. This usually manifested itself as laws. As a result, the laws passed legitimized the racialization of Indian and Chinese people. In the case of native Americans, many laws were passed to suppress the natives. For example, there was consideration of allowing natives to vote, but that never made it to the final draft of California's constitution. This limited the political abilities of ... With audiences slowly beginning to expect this sort of action they became accustomed and began enjoying these types of films. The next style was using a tight frame anytime there was a dialogue between characters or the scene itself. By focusing in on the actor, it placed an importance they compared the scene itself. The next style meant using motion in shots, allowing the director to convey to the audience about the emotion involved in that scene, using different lens lengths. Like using long lenses in outdoor shots catching the action that was happening farther away or using a wide–angle lens to capture more of what's going on in the scene. Later, when Elizabeth I came to the throne, the second Act of Supremacy was introduced to bring back the reforms that Mary had abolished. Both of these acts have many similarities but also some fundamental differences that helped indicate the type of ruler each monarch would be. Before discussing the differences it is important to first understand how the Act of Supremacy came about. Little is known about Henry's childhood because as the second born he was never intended to become King. When his elder brother Arthur died months after his marriage to Catherine of Aragon Henry became the heir to the throne of England. Catherine stayed in the English court after the death of her husband and was betrothed to Henry . It was many years before the two finally married. Catherine did give birth to a male heir but unfortunately the child did not survive . There were many more attempts for a male heir but in the end the only surviving child of Henry and Catherine was Mary Tudor who would later ascend to the throne in July 1553 . Because Catherine was unable to produce a surviving male heir Henry sought to get an annulment of their marriage. The pope would not grant this and so Henry created the Act of Supremacy declaring himself the 'supreme head of the Church of England ' in 1534. (Cheeseman 79) The Supremacy clause of the U.S. Constitution establishes that the federal constitution, and federal law generally, take precedence over state laws, and even state constitutions. While in this particular matter, the statutes of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) would generally trump the state level regulations of organizations such as the California Air Resources Board (CARB), however the EPA has also mandated that "The setting of these pollutant standards was coupled with directing the states to develop state implementation plans (SIPs), applicable to appropriate industrial sources in the state, in order to achieve these standards." Due to the fact that South Coast's standards are more stringent than federal standards, the "association" would find that the Supreme Court is more likely to uphold the decisions of the lower courts; at that time, it is then set at the highest level court and future court cases will have to look at that precedent as the standard. • 63. Race As A System Of White Supremacy Most people today might assume that our society's concept of race–as a system of white supremacy– formed as an inevitable conclusion of the idea of white superiority. However, while the two concepts are indeed intrinsically linked, the order of the relationship is often misunderstood. One did not beget the other; in fact, the two concepts arose simultaneously in the late 1600s, following Bacon's Rebellion. If one examines the history of race in America, one will find that our idea of race has its roots in the ruthless capitalist pragmatism of the elite, with white supremacy simply serving as an effective means to an end. In Colonial Virginia, the growing tobacco economy required ever increasing numbers of workers to manage such a labor–intensive crop. For much of the 1600s, the large portion of farm laborers consisted of European indentured servants, with the lesser portion made up of African indentured servants, and an even smaller number of slaves. This early Virginian society was surely aware of racial differences; indeed, some racial disparities did exist. For example, Europeans and Africans were often punished differently for committing the same crime. However, the majority of colonists identified with one another not on a racial basis, but on the basis of class and shared experiences, and the idea of white superiority was largely peripheral. His need to divulge this information clearly shows that he is uncomfortable around Chris. • 71. White Supremacy In Anthropology Essay There is an appallingly long standing history of white supremacy in this world, embedded in the anglo–saxon cultures of Britain, France, and The United States. Past and some present leaders of these nations claimed that their Christianity and invincible military powers gave them the inherent right and obligation to conquer and manage the world. Whiteness was considered a direct assertion of superiority and with this racial superiority came a mission. In the late 19th century, the British and Americans assumed the responsibility of "educating" and "civilizing" victims of their colonization, which included almost all of Africa and large parts of Asia. The rise of imperialism prompted a desire to learn about the inhabitants of these colonies (Mullings). The resulting study of human beings–including the language, culture, and physiological makeup– is now known as anthropology. Anthropology is the study of the development human societies and cultures based on biologic and social observation (Britannica). It is fair to say that given the European perspective on Africans and Asians at the time, the researchers likely viewed their subjects through condescension (Mullings).
