Belmont High Senior Monologue Essay
I am fixing my hair, and humming along to a song I heard on the radio, when I hear the concert
start. I heard the announcements begin and the lights go dim. There was people all around me.
People tripped over cords or called out demands. Some had microscopic mics on their faces, some
had been putting on makeup on.
"Welcome, welcome, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, to our 17th annual Belmont High Senior
Concert!" Our chorus teacher cried.
I was volunteered to sing a solo. Even though the song I was supposed to sing was the third song of
the night, I was shivering with fright. I was shaking so hard that when I was applying my eyeliner, I
accidently did a winged eyeliner instead of the natural looking one. Voices in my head were telling

Luckily I could read her mind too. She was telling me I could do this.
She started singing the first line of Rue's Lullaby from The Hunger Games Soundtrack.
Deep in the meadow, I joined her.
Under the willow,
A bed of grass a soft green pillow
Lay down your head, and close your eyes.
And when they open, the sun will rise.
I closed my eyes as the song said.
Here it 's safe, and here it 's warm.
Here the daisies guard you from every harm.
Here your dreams are sweet, and tomorrow brings them true.
Here is the place where I love you.
I felt my heart steady.
Deep in the meadow, hidden far away.
A cloak of green, a moonbeam ray.
Forget your woes, and let your troubles lay.
And when again it 's morning, they 'll wash away.
Here it 's safe, and here it 's warm.
Here the daisies guard you from every harm.
Hre your dreams are sweet, and tomorrow brings them true.
I opened my eyes.
Here is the place where I love you.
And for the first time while I was singing, I smiled.
I was so into the song that I didn't see Evy slip away into the back of the stage where she had
hymned the background music. The audience erupted into a roar. Everyone in the audience stood up.
A person was walking towards the stage. I recognized him immediately. His name was Ansel. He
was a college scout for Juilliard. He asked to see me after the show.
Once Evy and I are off stage we could not stop squealing. There was only one thing that happens
when you are asked to meet a college

A Short Note On Merlin
"Ardeth! Your breakfast is ready!" blurted my lord, Merlin. As I finished picking carrots, I swept the
loads of sweat off my forehead, went over to the table, and saw Merlin dressed up in his linen coat.
He then took a piece of bread off my plate.
"I am going to meet up with another lord. I'll be back soon." He noted. "I need you to pick the
wheat, barley, and peas." I nodded slightly.
As I was eating a tomato that I picked, I was wondering why Merlin seemed frustrated. He is
usually in a good mood, and is not like any other lord. He is a warm hearted and good natured lord.
After breakfast, I went back to the fields and began picking wheat. It felt like it was a thousand
degrees. I looked up at the sky, and saw no sign of a single cloud ... Show more content on

"Oh, no one told you. Your Lord Merlin had died." She growled. I could tell she was secretly
smirking.
"Died? What do you mean died?" I squealed.
"He had a heart attack while riding in a horse carriage." I couldn't believe it. I was so lucky to have
a lord like Merlin, and now he's gone.
"So, now what?" I whimpered.
"Oh, I will be taking you." she bickered. I froze. I have to have her as my master? I couldn't imagine
having her as my master, she is about as mean as a snake.
After a long time of the lady signing papers, she told me to get all of my clothes. I walked to my
room and grabbed three dresses. One is for working in the fields, one is my nightgown, and one
extra just in case one of them gets ruined.
I walked into the livingroom, and as soon as the lady saw me, she grabbed my arm and pulled me
outside to her horse carriage. She seemed like she could be stronger than a gorilla, because of how
hard she pulled me. She pushed me into it and it began to move. I watched Merlin's manor get
smaller and smaller as we got farther away from it. Tears ran down my cheeks. I had such an
amazing lord, and he is now gone.
We then arrived at the lady's manor, with dark, mossy, old brick walls, and many small windows.
"Get out," commanded the lady. We walked inside her manor and she had me sit down in her living
room. "I haven't properly introduced myself," she goaded, "I am Madame Theutberga. And you will

The Night Of Dawn Broke Over The Tamorian Plains, Larah...
When dawn broke over the Tamorian plains, Larah awoke alone. Both Riasean and their recent
guest, Coronados, were missing. As she started to gather her gear, Riasean appeared, wearing a
frown.
"Where is your friend?" she asked.
"He is gone," he stated in a sharp tone. "Left about a couple of hours ago. We talked, very briefly."
"Which way was he headed?" she asked.
"South," he replied, "Or so he said."
"You don't trust him, do you?"
Riasean chuckled. "Would you?"
She looked earnestly at him. "No."
He grabbed his saddlebags and walked over to the stable. "Let's get going. We should reach Tenoach
by nightfall."
"Shouldn't we have something to eat first?"
He turned and tossed her a small bag. "Eat this. It's farinaem. It will sustain you ... Show more

But this was was uncommon, as most buildings ranged from decrepit to inhabitable. Larah
wondered if all city dwellers had to live in such dilapidated conditions.
Riasean did not appear to share her impression. Instead, a half–smile crept upon his features.
Then she smelled it. Of what exactly she could not tell – perhaps horse manure, rotting garbage,
sweat or some other noxious combination. Like a dirty blanket, the stench hung in the air, invading
the senses in an unavoidable and persistent manner. She pulled the loose flap of her hood over her
nose and mouth in a feeble attempt to keep it out of her lungs.
"I will take you to the Black Boar Tavern, near the river; it's about the only decent place to stay in
the city," Riasean stated. His eyes slowly panned about, a studied gaze now gracing his features.
Larah nodded between gulps of air.
As they neared the river, the sun rose to its noon perch mixing heat into the aromatic stew through
which they rode. Several times Larah eyes watered and she coughed. Even so, she derived a small
bit of comfort from Riasean also having to cover his face. The few people they passed hid in the
shadows or huddled in doorways. A few glanced up curiously but then ducked into alleys. Several
times they had to backtrack, either because of crowds or debris blocking the street.
Eventually, they reached the river, framed by buildings fronting it, small quays and row boats lazing
along the banks, where dark green water slithered along,

'Can I show everyone the painting,' Gilt asked. 'The one Clemmie did yesterday?'
'Oh, yes! Let's take a look.'
Gilt spread out the painting on the table so that everyone could see. 'It's very good. Her perspective
is almost spot on. She added shade here, and here, to get a great deal of depth to the sea and
shoreline.' Doctor Pax asked, 'Do you think this place is real?'
Mosaic pointed his finger at the cliffs. 'It looks like the coast near Chauntsinger. Is that a shepherd's
hut on the hillside?'
Mole shook his head. 'No, I would say it's a sea defence. A pillbox.'
'Erm...?'
'Yes, Harmonie?'

face the room. Harmonie gave him one of those looks. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

'But time travel?' Mole asked again.
Doctor Pax continued as if he had not been interrupted. 'The time–rift caused a change in our
history, and I believe the events which led to Clemmie's death caused a time–rift. Because of this,
we felt the tremors when she came through Heartsease. And her dog Clog.'
'Yes, but...'
'Do you remember the news headlines from six months ago? There was a fire at Rainbow Manor,
not far from here. The house burnt to the ground and all the people died.'
'Oh, yes! I remember that. I was so shocked!' cried Mrs Tiffin.
'Yes indeed, it shocked us all. I ran a search on my computer and do you know the name of the last
person who went through Heartsease at the Manor? Before the house burnt down?'
'No, but...'
Doctor Pax slapped his pad on the table which made everyone jump.
'His name was Ellis Jewel. Clemmie's granddad.'
'No way!' said Spud.
'The person who ran Rainbow Manor was a good friend of mine. He rang me up a few days before
he died and told me about some tremors they had. Tremors the same day Mr Jewel came through
Heartsease.'
'Do you think he started the fire?' asked Mrs Tiffin.
Mole grimaced and said, 'I told the police but they have found no proof.'
Mosaic asked. 'Does that mean Mr Jewel also travelled in time? Did he cause the time–rift, and not
Clemmie?'
'I don't know. It's strange they both came through Heartsease but at separate times. What I

Uber Girl Monologue
I put on my dress and look in the mirror. Hm I'm not sure I like it, I'll ask the girls.
"Guys, should I wear this dress?"
Christine says. "Yeah it's so cute!"
"You totally should!" Lisa exclaims
"Ok I'll wear it." I say.
There's a knock at the door. I guess I'll get it. I walk to the door and open it. Tom and Quincy at the
door! Quincy didn't even try to dress up of course, at least Tom tried.
"Are you girls ready?" Tom asks.
"Yeah you girls are taking forever." Quincy complained.
I hate Quincy's sarcasm. Why did he even come on this trip?
"Yep, we're ready to go!" I say happily.
We start walking to the elevator of the hotel we're in when I realise that we don't have a car to get to
the concert!

"Never mind" I say.
The Uber driver pulls into the concert venue.
"Get out and goodluck surviving." Uber driver says.
"Surviving what?" Tom asks
"Get out!" Uber driver yells.
We all get out of the Uber and head over to the venue. We find our seats and sit down to watch the
pre show singer. After the pre show singer sings Ed Sheeran walks on stage.
"Hey everybody! Are you all having a good time tonight?" Ed Sheeran asks into the microphone
excitedly.
"Yeah!" The crowd screams.
"Great! I'm going to sing my first song Castle on the hill." Ed Sheeran says into the microphone.
"Before he sings his song I'm going to go get a snack." Christine says.
"I'll come with." Quincy says.
"Ok bring me some!" I say while they're walking away.
"I'm going to go to the bathroom before he starts singing." Lisa says
"Ok." Tom says while we see her walk away.
Tom and I listen to a couple songs when I realise they're still not here.
"I wonder what's taking them so long?" I ask
"It could be the long lines." Tom answers.
"I guess so." I say.
Just then a loud crack pierces the air.
"Duck!" I yell.
Tom and I crouch down down while Ed Sheeran gets escorted off the stage. The rest of the crowd
ducks while more large cracks are heard.
"What is happening?" I ask loud enough to be yelling.

Lucille Henderson Alternate Ending
About eleven o 'clock, Lucille Henderson, observing that her party was soaring at the proper height,
and just having been smiled at by Jack Delroy, forced herself to glance over in the direction of Edna
Phillips, who since eight o 'clock had been sitting in the big red chair, smoking cigarettes and
yodeling hellos and wearing a very bright eye which young men were not bothering to catch. Edna
's direction still the same, Lucille Henderson sighed as heavily as her dress would allow, and then,
knitting what there was of her brows, gazed about the room at the noisy young people she had
invited to drink up her father 's Scotch. Then abruptly she swished to where William Jameson Junior
sat, biting his fingernails and staring at a small blonde girl sitting on the floor with three young men
from Rutgers. "Hello, there," Lucille Henderson said, clutching William Jameson Junior 's arm.
"Come on,"she said. "There 's someone I 'd like you to meet." "Who?" "This girl. She 's swell." And
Jameson followed her across the room, at the same time trying to make short work of a hangnail on
his thumb. "Edna baby," Lucille Henderson said, "I 'd love you to really know Bill Jameson. Bill –
Edna Phillips. Or have you two birds met already?" "No," said Edna, taking in Jameson 's large
nose, flabby mouth, narrow shoulders. "I 'm awfully glad to meet you" she told him. "Gladda know
ya," Jameson replied, mentally contrasting Edna 's all with the all of the small blonde across the
room. "Bill 's a

What Does You Do You?
From the moment one is born, one is exposed to a multitude of different stimuli that are often wildly
different from another. These stimuli can be so new that they can redefine one 's thoughts and
outlook on life. One goes through years of this as their journey through life continues on, with each
new experience adding to the ever growing and ever changing matrix that is one 's identity. Many
times, one points to things they enjoy or who one proclaims he or she is as their identity. However, it
is not one 's words or list of likes that actually crafts who one is. Interactions with others, the
experiences gained from those reactions, and the actions and choices that are made based on the
knowledge gained from those experiences are what modify and hack into one 's identity.
Experiences and character interaction are the walls needed to make the rooms of action and choice,
which then form the house of identity. The actions that one makes in the situations presented to
them in life are what mold and form their identity and eventually who one is. By growing up, one
continues to have refreshing experiences that help stimulate our identities, thereby making it
something that is ever changing and evolving instead of a static fixture that cannot be changed.
Interacting with others develops an identity as it leads to an exchange between two people. One
cannot be generous if they have no one to give more than he or she receives. A situation where one
is interacting with another is

We are unique, or at least we'd like to believe that. Peyton saw it. She saw things that the human
brain in this day and age would not be able to comprehend.
Aliens, the universe, life on other planets. We only dream of things like that.
Peyton never did. She never needed to dream, she already knew. She knew things that she never
shared. She knew government secrets, she knew how people felt, their thoughts.
She knew infinitely more than she let on, that is, until he came along. It seemed like he knew what
she was going to say before she would say it. She was the telepath. He wasn't. So how was he so

Review of: Why You Do the Things You Do
| Review of:Why You Do The Things You Do
Clinton, Dr. Tim & Sibcy, Dr. Gary. (2006). Why You Do the Things You Do: The Secret of
Healthy Relationships. Nashville: Thomas Nelson.
Summary
Relationships are in our everyday life all around us, but the most intimate relationships we have
include God, our parents, our children and our spouse. God implanted the desire for intimacy or
relationship within us when He created Adam and Eve. God hardwired the desire for relationship in
us because He desires relationship. Adam and Eve had the perfect relationship with each other and
God for a while. God continued to desire relationship with Adam and Eve even after their
disobedience. When our relationship with God is lacking, we will ... Show more content on

These efforts of self–protection indicate the children do not regard others as trustworthy, reliable, or
accessible.
Studies have shown that children who have developed ambivalent, avoidant or disorganized
relationship styles do not tend to seek God as a refuge during times of distress. People with an
ambivalent relationship style tend to doubt their salvation frequently. Avoidant styles were more
likely to give up on God and follow addictive or sinful habits.
Soul wounds occur when we need and/or expect a loved one to be there for us, and he/she is not.
Such an injury can ignite core pain: anger, anxiety, fear, and grief. The degree of an injury to the
soul can change depending on the stage of life a person has achieved. What does not change is the
intensity of our reaction to the injury. The strongest emotional reactions are directly related to our
closest relationships.
Relationship is the foundation of God's nature. We are created in his likeness so relationships are the
foundation of our needs and who we become. When we have relationship with God, that
relationship will satisfy all the conditions of a healthy, secure relationship. We must seek Him in
times of trouble. He becomes our refuge, our place of security and safety. Our relationship with God
is the foundation which allows us to boldly face the world with strength and confidence. When we
separate from God, anxiety will set in and produce confusion,

Wooow, he just died, I exaggeratedly thought to myself, but with my mouth open. I stood in the

"Well you only live once," I insisted, "what could go wrong." I took a deep breathe and slowly

I entered the house, "Ma, Doodle's dead," I yelled. She didn't hear me, so it gave me more time to

What Does You Do Outside Of The Classroom?
Sure success in college means obtaining and maintaining a high GPA however, college is much
more than just getting good grades and smiling and nodding at your professor (even when you may
not understand a concept). Success is found in what you do outside of the classroom. How are you
studying on your own? Are you making the most of resources available to you on campus? Are you
being flexible and open minded? Are you participating in activities that will benefit your future

Form support system
Be aware of your support system. If you do not have one, form one really fast. This system can
include friends, family, church members and sometimes professors. Recognize people who have

you need as you matriculate through college, but it also helps you to make the right decisions. Keep
your support system as broad as you can and try not to restrict it. The more advice you have the

What Would You Do If You?
What would you do if you could choose to conceal your race and live a new life under a different
identity? For thousands of Americans, the choice to become someone new outweighed remaining as
they once were. However, in choosing to reinvent themselves, many began to also living in a
constant state of fear –– trying avoid getting caught in their lie. The phenomenon is known as of
'passing'. Drawing from literary and cinematic works that explores what it means to 'pass', this essay
will present how rather than granting liberation, the ability to slip between identities –– or racially
'pass' –– actually traps and emotionally troubles people, inhibiting any form of freedom. The term
'passing' refers to the practice in which a member of one racial group can also be accepted as a
member of a different racial identity. In the context of this essay, passing mean the ways in which
some African Americans used their fair, racially ambiguous complexions to assimilate into White
America and evade restrictions placed on Black bodies in the early twentieth century. This meant
becoming white in order to escape de facto segregation that kept other, darker skinned African
Americans in a place of second–class citizenship. Passing tangibly looked like using racial
ambiguity to get office jobs instead of enduring dilapidated school facilities. Often ignored in
discussing the benefits and motivations of passing though are the negative aspects, including:
passing rests on colorism; and, it can

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Being A Teenager
There are good things about being both an adult and a teenager however there are also some
disadvantages. Adults and teenagers probably both wish they could switch places at times but we
have to learn to live with ourselves and see that there is a good side and bad side to both situations.
Now I am going to explain the advantages and disadvantages of both and try to give you are
perspective from both sides of it. For example, what makes life unique at this age and what are some
problems you will face as an adult or teen. Being an adult has many advantages and disadvantages
about it but you learn to make it work. One good reason for being an adult is you have more
freedom to make your own desecions. No one is holding you back or telling you what to do and
when to do it. Another good reason for being an adult is you can purchase what you drive, where u
live and everything else about your life. You can also make yourself unique, you don't have to act a
certain way to impress someone you can just be yourself. There are sadly some downsides to being
an adult as well. For example, you have to start paying for everything a house, a car, phone bill,
electric bill etc. I mean there are countless fees you have to pay to be an adult. When you were a
teen all you had to do was buy things you wanted and that was it ,but as an adult everything you buy
you now have to pay for. Also when you are a adult you have to do everything now, you have so
much responsibility like showing up to work every day on time and guess what if you don't they ...

The Importance Of Binge Viewing
What comes to mind when I think of binge watching? I guess, in a very technical sense, its watching
more than a couple episodes of something. I see the term, less connected with watching movies. I
suppose you could binge watch movies, but I think that the term has more connotations with
television programs rather than movies. To me, I think binge watching implies that you are watching
multiple episodes of some kind of series.
I don't know, I don't think there is any, and maybe there is, in a scholastic scenes, but I don't think
that there is any hard and fast definition of watching this amount or these amount of episodes for
this long, equals binge watching. I think, it's more of a, I have some time to devote to this, I don't

Interviewer: Yeah.
Michael: But that is sort of the only interactivity that I have, I suppose.
Interviewer: Cool, so, you have said that you have been watching TV for quite some time now in
your life and that obviously advertising when you were growing up were these traditional
commercial interactions, have you noticed, if at all, how advertising has changed throughout that
period or what comes to mind?
Michael: You know, that is a tough question. I don't think that I have really noticed, necessarily a
change in advertising, but it may just be that my level of engagement with it has never been high to
begin with. So, it's possible that it has gotten sort of more sophisticated then when I was much
younger, but again, my level of engagement was never that high to begin with, so I don't think that I
ever really thought about it or how it has changed, but I am sure it has, in some ways.

that? Can you ever binge watch with

A Short Story : A Story?
I was awaken by an annoying tapping on my window. I search around my cover trying to find my
phone but i'm pretty sure my bed eats it every night so of course I didn't find it. I get up with my
cover wrapped around me and go to my window to see what it is disturbing my beautiful sleep. As
i'm walking I hear something drop on my floor by me and jump. I see my phone on the floor get it to
make sure my baby wasn't hurt. I push the power button and am instantly blinded my my bright

"Hurry up drama queen." I here Melissa say at my window. Well of course it's her, i mean who else
would it be, my nonexistent boyfriend? I went to the window and pull her in. I don't know if i
should be mad at the fact that I haven't seen her in 2 weeks or the fact that she is at my window at 4

What Would You Do? Episode __ : Helping the Homeless I. Relate the video to conscience
Conscience, as defined by the Merriam – Webster Dictionary, is "the part of the mind that makes
you aware of your actions as being either morally right or wrong". It's that tiny voice inside your
head that tells you if what you're about to do, what you're doing or what you've done is essentially
right or not. A lot of people nowadays tend to ignore this for fear of being ridiculed or judged by
other people, even if what they did was actually right. The American television news magazine and
hidden camera show entitled "Primetime: What Would You Do?", which aired their first episode in
February 2008 and still continue to do so, reveal how bystanders ... Show more content on

They treated him with respect and they looked past the homeless man's appearance and saw him as
just another person ordering lunch in a restaurant. They weren't quick to judge the other person and
that's how we should all be. We shouldn't let a person's appearance or state of living affect our
perception of the person because we don't know what this person went through to end up in that
state and we don't know all the hardships and the problems he encountered that made him land
where he is now and we should always remember that a person's past doesn't determine his future.
The negative point in the video is how the two men and the two women reacted toward the homeless
man. The two women told the bartender to make the homeless man a to–go instead of eating inside
because his smell bothered them and didn't ruin their appetite but "it didn't help", either. The two
men, on the other hand, didn't even acknowledge the homeless man and acted as if he wasn't there in
the first place. John Quiñones asked one of the men about his opinion about the homeless man and
he said that he shouldn't have entered the restaurant to get lunch there and he should've gotten it in a
different and more appropriate location, saying that it was the "wrong place". This is the problem
with people nowadays, we are too judgmental and we're too quick to judge someone based on how

You Must Do The Thing You Think You Cannot Do." It's sad to see that people can't do what they
want because they're afraid of how others might judge them. Courageous people need to be brave,
be themselves, and be proud of who they are. Courage creates a more positive society. Melinda and
Heather are two fictional characters that have shown courage in one form or another. On the other
hand, my brother, Shpat, is a real life example of how courage can impact the society. Each act of
courage, either factual or fictional has created some type of impact on society. In the story, Speak,
Heather, was courageous in many ways. Her courage, in this case, had a negative impact on others.

place. This was a positive change because he was brave enough to take a risk in opening up a

things were hard. Now he brought a great pizzeria to the community. By displaying this courageous

Personal Narrative: C4
I wake up in my plain, old bedroom hoping it would be different but according to the government,
control, we all have to have the same bedroom, house, clothes, and pretty much everything is the
same. I can't even complain about how unfair it is or my family would send me off. I honestly have
no idea what be sent off is but if that happens again you never see your control again. Everyone
assumes it's death but not me, I have a feeling it's something different. I put on my regular clothes–
a gray t–shirt and black pants–with that everyone in C4 wears except for their work clothes. Then I
remember what today is so I put on my Drip Ceremony outfit, a light blue dress just like the color of

nothing and know I'm going to die. Then all of a sudden I hear, " Give up the drip! Give up the drip!
Give up the drip!" It gets louder and louder and then I see my face on half of the screen on town
square and President Control Rector on the other half.
The president says, "Amber you have been chosen and unable to fulfill your duties as a citizen and
do not want to participate in the drip and the normally would mean getting sent off. We have

"Hello." "GO, GO, GO!" I heard being shouted. It was all chaos, blood, bullets. My thoughts drifted
off. It was all a blur. It was a hot sunny day at the time of this event. I kept running as the dust
crowed around the ends of my pants while letting my sweat drip though my worries. Just as I had
thought I was clear, I felt a bolt of flaming pain rip though my shoulder; behind me I could hear
muffled breathing. I turned around and just as I was about to strike, a gunshot went off. The masked
figure didn't move, through my pain I saw his face. His mouth was open like he was yawning, like

older than his mid–20's stepped in. Behind the door there was no light, now I was confused. "It

hair and cargo shorts with a white tank top. I was thinking of something witty to say, but just as I
opened my mouth to speak, the man interrupted me. "Who is your leader?" And how did he know
this? How did he know me? Who did he get this information from? What else did he know my

Bored, I put my elbow on the table and put my hand on my cheek to support my head.

Immediately, Haruhi and Honey scrambled to the computer as Tamaki yelled at Hikaru and Kaoru. I

have to admit, the picture looks good. Hikaru and Kaoru have some nice photoshopping skills. The

Sometimes I think I know everything there is to know about my father. I know he only shaves when
the greys start to show. I know he likes green tea better than black. He watches Hallmark movies at
Christmas because it reminds him of Gran. He likes to wear plaid ironically. He watched me being
born when he was seventeen–years–old. He tells me he loves me, not every day but every week at
least. He doesn't have to say it too often. He just loves. Even when Angelo left, he kept loving him.
He kept the little shells they had found on the beach when we drove to the Great Salt Lake. They're
lined up in a row on the bathroom windowsill. He also kept Angelo's shirts, the ones he left behind.
He wears them sometimes; the ones with holes from where sparks burned the fabric for Angelo's
welding projects. We've got one of those, too. A welding piece. It's a bird that has its wings up in a

Sherman write this? Was he coached? The speechwriter? As pointed out by this Dallas Morning

The coach? The article also reveals that Dalton was coached by his parents and an oratory coach
from his school for several months. His preparations involved delivering the speech three times a
week at his family's church. For these reasons, some Internet critics attack Dalton Sherman,
suggesting that he's a puppet reciting someone else's words. What do you think? I think this
underscores how good you can be if you devote yourself to consistent practice and obtain speech
coaching. Although the delivery of some lines is choppy (which indicates memorized, but unnatural
text), the majority of the speech is wonderfully delivered. As the video demonstrates, Dalton nails
most of the choreographed body language, and he receives loud applause from his audience. As just

Despite standing before 20,000 while delivering this keynote address, Dalton Sherman still has the
presence to wait for applause to die down before beginning [0:30 – 0:39]. Many adults have the
tendency to talk over the audience

How Do You Conduct The Event?
Belinda: In this section, were are going to cover, how to conduct the event itself. So far, we have
talked about setting the stage for growth, how do you create that momentum within your
organization to maximum your true potential. We have talked about different types of events that
you can have within your organization and that you can have as a leader to really create the
atmosphere and energy to pull off group recruiting events. Now, we are going to talk about the event
itself. We are going to talk about the words, and why say exactly.
How do you conduct it in a way that is exciting and energized. The verbiage that can be used. Who
to choose for testimonials, and all of the different things that go into making a successful event. Of
course, you are going to change this and tweak these things, based on your company and your
product. That is what you really need to thing about when seeing this verbiage. Great, she is talking
about this, how does that fit with my product.
What can I do to create this excitement? What kinds of events go with our products? What kinds of
events could really draw an outside interest with the type of products that we have? Who am I going
to select that really exemplifies the essence of our group and gets people excited and energized? So,
now we are going to talk about executing the actual event itself. To many meetings are boring and
who wants to go to a boring event? We want to inspire people to come and then we want to inspire

Why Do You Do For You?
Numerous understudies quickly freeze when they are confronted with the undertaking of composing
a paper. While they may have numerous thoughts when they talk about a point, grabbing pen and
paper appears to go away all thoughts. A few understudies aren 't even certain what a paper is.
Essentially, a paper is a composed approach to express a supposition and demonstrate that it 's
legitimate. This can take a mixture of structures, at the same time the standard organization begins
with a presentation, has a body, and finishes with a conclusion. There are a couple of
straightforward steps to composing an article.
First and foremost, understudies must create thoughts. They need to consider what they think around
a subject and what they need to compose. Understudies do this in diverse ways. A few understudies
do conceptualizing. That is, they sit with a bit of paper and compose words and attempt to relate
them to different words. A few understudies simply make a rundown of thoughts. Different
understudies discover they have to do some prewriting on the grounds that they think better when
they are working out their thoughts. Some understudies simply sit and think and get the thoughts
dealt with in their personalities. Restricted is worse than an alternate way. Everybody is distinctive,
so everybody writes in an alternate manner. For instance, my wife preferences to do prewriting. She
sets her clock for 15 minutes and afterward she composes all that she can contemplate the point

Short Story
They announced it in every corner of the globe, even in our small city in Nebraska, the war was
over! I remember our friend and next door neighbor running over to tell us the good news. My
mama and I were so excited that we could hardly stand it. Our neighbor stayed late into the night, "
Do you think that he will come home?" my mother whispered. Of course she was referring to my
papa. He left to fight in the war almost a year ago. We were having a hard time trying to make do.
My mama got a job in the factory, said we should be grateful for it, but I found that it almost made
life harder for us. She would come in late, and I would have to have supper on the table and finish
all of the chores and things because she would be just way too ... Show more content on

I suppose it wasn't all bad but it was hard for us the first few months. The first few days we spent
celebrating, mama cooked us a big meal and we ate and talked late into the night, I was sent up to
bed and then my parents talked for even longer. My papa didn't want to talk about the war so we
didn't push him. However I was curious about the war, as it was all censored when told to me, and
nothing much happened here directly, besides all of the soldiers leaving, and gathering of materials
for the war effort anyway. So I gave up on trying to figure it out. My father was different, and didn't
laugh as much as usual, but he was my papa and we quickly rebuilt our relationship. Soon we were
talking and he became almost the same, giving me advice, hugs, love, support. In fact our close
relationship is the way I found out about our new troubles. We were sitting in the living room and I
happened to mention that I wanted a new dress for my upcoming birthday, after all I was turning 14
and was sure that I wanted a new dress. My papa got a big sad look on his face and said "
Sweetheart, I just don't think that we can do that." "Why not?" I asked. Honestly I knew that I was
talking back a bit, but I couldn't seem to help it. I didn't understand why I couldn't get a new dress
for my birthday. After that my father seeming to understand, and patient explained that we were
having financial troubles and not to worry, but he

Personal Narrative Essay : The Best Friend In High School
Standing atop the ledge of the Golden Gate Bridge is so intimidating. I've stood in this spot
countless times, however, I've always wussed out of actually doing the unthinkable. With no one to
help this uninteresting high schooler out, this girl doesn't even have a single friend in this new place.
Because all of my technology has been broken in someway, I've not had a chance to talk to my old
friends, but it's not like I had numerous friends in my old place. Nevertheless, the one friend I
thought I had was Corrine, but she moved on and found other friends after I moved away. So much
for best friends forever.
Come to think of it, my family isn't the most supportive, since they pick favorites. Ever since the
twins were born, I haven't experienced any sort of tender love or care, and any attention they have
left over, it all goes to my older brother. Praise the great honors student who takes all AP classes and
volunteers every chance he acquires. He's the next potential valedictorian of the school.
And me? Conversely, you're looking at the biggest failure this family has ever seen. I haven't made
an attempt to be a productive, social member of this school. I'm just here; I'm part of the crowd; I'm
completely average. Consequently, I stand out just enough to be seen by some bullies that need to
hurt others to feel better about themselves. Moreover, they enjoy and love seeing my reactions, but
after a year of them, I've started to become indifferent to my own suffering, therefore, the pain no
longer hurts; I'm numb to it now. How I got to this point is a long story that involves my panties and
bra being hung on the flag post of the new school I went to, and various glares and judgmental looks
from other girls in the locker rooms. Basically I was bullied, if you're wondering; it's not a tale that
needs much explaining.
I realized that the Golden Gate Bridge was closed to pedestrians at night, so I borrowed my brother's
old bike and went on my way. I'm glad that they haven't finished building that suicide prevention
fence or whatever. It doesn't fit the aesthetic of this place anyways, and further continues the plot.
Enough about my backstory, it's not like it will matter at all in a few seconds. I am here, and in

How Tall Do You Have To Be To Dunk
How Tall Do You Have to Be To Dunk
Are you ready to dunk?
Ask yourself that question and you might be taken aback. That question is so simple, but pregnant
with meaning. If I were you, I would be more concerned about building my determination and
resolution about dunking than worry too much, about how tall I should be to dunk. If you are indeed
ready, you can dunk successfully, regardless of your height. If that's understood, let's go on and
prove this.
During my research, I discovered that many people are very much concerned about their height and
decided that the best thing to do is to go online and ask how tall they should be before they can
dunk. I'm not sure how this people are going to get the right advice that will help them. Most ...

In another circumstance, we could have given you a straight answer and not bother to write this long
article. But in this situation, the answer is not readily available. Why is this? Because many people
believe that you have to be 6 feet tall before you can dunk. However, there has been a plethora of
shorter people, often at the 5 feet range dunking successfully.
Consequently, the important thing to note is that if you are 6' tall, you will find that learning how to
dunk will be much more easier for you than if you are shorter. But that does not mean other people
who are shorter than that cannot dunk successfully. I hope you grasp my point here.
Websites like http://www.vertshock.com teaches all kinds of people how to dunk without specifying
how tall they have to be before they can dunk. When you are learning how to dunk through this
website, you will learn how to dunk by cutting down the training time, reduce your risk of injury,
and add inches to your vertical jump.
As a concluding remark, as long as you are 5 feet tall or above, there should be nothing stopping
you learning this skill. In this article (link to the shortest person to dunk article here), we reveal two
of the shortest person to ever dunk a basketball. These people are not even 6 feet tall. Neither are
they super basketball

Why Do You Die You Learn How To Die Essay
"Ones you learn how to die you learn how to live"
To me. Yes, if you know how to die of course you know how to lived, Life is short do all what you
want but make sure that no one people disturb, do this that this day is your last day, accept that you
are going to die, there's no way to escape just live life to the fullest and to be die and to be live is a
reciprocal of life, a cycle of life and If we know how we die, knowing how to die is important as
how we live, understanding how or what important in life and what is not.
For me I experience this Quote, because I do what possible what can I do to live much more happy

Finding a true friend is our life is so hard because many people are so plastic in terms that he only
needs you as a friend when he need to you, I experience that I have a friend like that, and also I have
a friend that knows about me and still in my side, that is my best friend. "You only live once, but if
you do it right, once is enough."
For me the meaning of this is life is full of mystery and difficulties, but the person that who lives
their life correctly get it easy to achieve what he want to be. Easily get their dreams. Do your best to
avoid the second.
All of the time If I give a chance to catch the opportunity I give my 100 percent because life is short

What Do You Do When You 're Not Sure
"What do you do when you're not sure..." so begins Father Flynn's sermon near the beginning of the
play Doubt. Father Flynn delivers his sermon to the people of St. Nicholas Catholic church in the
Bronx in the year following President Kennedy's assassination. His sermon builds upon a story of a
sailor lost at sea who has doubts about the course he has set and his doubt becomes the metaphor for
the community who has lost its certainty. So, in other words, when someone loses certainty they
doubt about someone or something and want to belief the uncertain is true. To do so they make
anything in their power to find out that their doubt is a belief even if it means to lie.
"Doubt can be a bond as powerful and sustaining as certainty." Based upon a few indirect details
and various intuition, the ultra–strict, Sister Aloysius Beauvier believes that one of the priests,
Father Flynn, at the St. Nicholas Catholic Church and School has been molesting a twelve–year–old
boy named Donald Muller, the school 's only African American student. To help her, Sister Aloysius
recruits a young and naive nun, Sister James, to assist her in monitoring the suspicious yet
charismatic Father Flynn. She also addresses her concerns to Donald 's mother, who surprisingly is
not horrified or even shocked by the allegations. She is more concerned about her son getting
through high school and avoiding a beating from his dad instead of what her son is going through at
school. Close to the ending of the play

Belmont High Senior Monologue Essay

  • 1. Belmont High Senior Monologue Essay I am fixing my hair, and humming along to a song I heard on the radio, when I hear the concert start. I heard the announcements begin and the lights go dim. There was people all around me. People tripped over cords or called out demands. Some had microscopic mics on their faces, some had been putting on makeup on. "Welcome, welcome, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, to our 17th annual Belmont High Senior Concert!" Our chorus teacher cried. I was volunteered to sing a solo. Even though the song I was supposed to sing was the third song of the night, I was shivering with fright. I was shaking so hard that when I was applying my eyeliner, I accidently did a winged eyeliner instead of the natural looking one. Voices in my head were telling ... Deep in the meadow, I joined her. Under the willow, A bed of grass a soft green pillow Lay down your head, and close your eyes. As I finished picking carrots, I swept the loads of sweat off my forehead, went over to the table, and saw Merlin dressed up in his linen coat. He then took a piece of bread off my plate. "I am going to meet up with another lord. I'll be back soon." He noted. "I need you to pick the wheat, barley, and peas." I nodded slightly. As I was eating a tomato that I picked, I was wondering why Merlin seemed frustrated. He is usually in a good mood, and is not like any other lord. He is a warm hearted and good natured lord. "Oh, I will be taking you." she bickered. I froze. I have to have her as my master? I couldn't imagine having her as my master, she is about as mean as a snake. After a long time of the lady signing papers, she told me to get all of my clothes. I walked to my room and grabbed three dresses. One is for working in the fields, one is my nightgown, and one extra just in case one of them gets ruined. I walked into the livingroom, and as soon as the lady saw me, she grabbed my arm and pulled me outside to her horse carriage. She seemed like she could be stronger than a gorilla, because of how hard she pulled me. She pushed me into it and it began to move. I watched Merlin's manor get smaller and smaller as we got farther away from it. Tears ran down my cheeks. I had such an amazing lord, and he is now gone. We then arrived at the lady's manor, with dark, mossy, old brick walls, and many small windows. "Get out," commanded the lady. We walked inside her manor and she had me sit down in her living room. • 10. What Does You Do You? From the moment one is born, one is exposed to a multitude of different stimuli that are often wildly different from another. These stimuli can be so new that they can redefine one 's thoughts and outlook on life. One goes through years of this as their journey through life continues on, with each new experience adding to the ever growing and ever changing matrix that is one 's identity. Many times, one points to things they enjoy or who one proclaims he or she is as their identity. However, it is not one 's words or list of likes that actually crafts who one is. Interactions with others, the experiences gained from those reactions, and the actions and choices that are made based on the knowledge gained from those experiences are what modify and hack into one 's identity. Experiences and character interaction are the walls needed to make the rooms of action and choice, which then form the house of identity. The actions that one makes in the situations presented to them in life are what mold and form their identity and eventually who one is. By growing up, one continues to have refreshing experiences that help stimulate our identities, thereby making it something that is ever changing and evolving instead of a static fixture that cannot be changed. Interacting with others develops an identity as it leads to an exchange between two people. One cannot be generous if they have no one to give more than he or she receives. The degree of an injury to the soul can change depending on the stage of life a person has achieved. What does not change is the intensity of our reaction to the injury. For thousands of Americans, the choice to become someone new outweighed remaining as they once were. However, in choosing to reinvent themselves, many began to also living in a constant state of fear –– trying avoid getting caught in their lie. The phenomenon is known as of 'passing'. Drawing from literary and cinematic works that explores what it means to 'pass', this essay will present how rather than granting liberation, the ability to slip between identities –– or racially 'pass' –– actually traps and emotionally troubles people, inhibiting any form of freedom. This meant becoming white in order to escape de facto segregation that kept other, darker skinned African Americans in a place of second–class citizenship. Adults and teenagers probably both wish they could switch places at times but we have to learn to live with ourselves and see that there is a good side and bad side to both situations. Now I am going to explain the advantages and disadvantages of both and try to give you are perspective from both sides of it. For example, what makes life unique at this age and what are some problems you will face as an adult or teen. Being an adult has many advantages and disadvantages about it but you learn to make it work. One good reason for being an adult is you have more freedom to make your own desecions. No one is holding you back or telling you what to do and when to do it. Another good reason for being an adult is you can purchase what you drive, where u live and everything else about your life. For example, you have to start paying for everything a house, a car, phone bill, electric bill etc. I mean there are countless fees you have to pay to be an adult. When you were a teen all you had to do was buy things you wanted and that was it ,but as an adult everything you buy you now have to pay for. I don't think that I have really noticed, necessarily a change in advertising, but it may just be that my level of engagement with it has never been high to begin with. So, it's possible that it has gotten sort of more sophisticated then when I was much younger, but again, my level of engagement was never that high to begin with, so I don't think that I ever really thought about it or how it has changed, but I am sure it has, in some ways. Relate the video to conscience Conscience, as defined by the Merriam – Webster Dictionary, is "the part of the mind that makes you aware of your actions as being either morally right or wrong". It's that tiny voice inside your head that tells you if what you're about to do, what you're doing or what you've done is essentially right or not. A lot of people nowadays tend to ignore this for fear of being ridiculed or judged by other people, even if what they did was actually right. The American television news magazine and hidden camera show entitled "Primetime: What Would You Do?", which aired their first episode in February 2008 and still continue to do so, reveal how bystanders ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... They treated him with respect and they looked past the homeless man's appearance and saw him as just another person ordering lunch in a restaurant. They weren't quick to judge the other person and that's how we should all be. We shouldn't let a person's appearance or state of living affect our perception of the person because we don't know what this person went through to end up in that state and we don't know all the hardships and the problems he encountered that made him land where he is now and we should always remember that a person's past doesn't determine his future. The negative point in the video is how the two men and the two women reacted toward the homeless man. The two women told the bartender to make the homeless man a to–go instead of eating inside because his smell bothered them and didn't ruin their appetite but "it didn't help", either. The two men, on the other hand, didn't even acknowledge the homeless man and acted as if he wasn't there in the first place. John Quiñones asked one of the men about his opinion about the homeless man and he said that he shouldn't have entered the restaurant to get lunch there and he should've gotten it in a different and more appropriate location, saying that it was the "wrong place". It's sad to see that people can't do what they want because they're afraid of how others might judge them. Courageous people need to be brave, be themselves, and be proud of who they are. Courage creates a more positive society. Melinda and Heather are two fictional characters that have shown courage in one form or another. I know he likes green tea better than black. He watches Hallmark movies at Christmas because it reminds him of Gran. He likes to wear plaid ironically. He watched me being born when he was seventeen–years–old. He tells me he loves me, not every day but every week at least. He doesn't have to say it too often. He just loves. Even when Angelo left, he kept loving him. He kept the little shells they had found on the beach when we drove to the Great Salt Lake. They're lined up in a row on the bathroom windowsill. He also kept Angelo's shirts, the ones he left behind. He wears them sometimes; the ones with holes from where sparks burned the fabric for Angelo's welding projects. We've got one of those, too. A welding piece. It's a bird that has its wings up in a "V." It's in the front yard of the cabin, rusty and brown. It gets older every month. Dad says it's sad that he's gone. That's why it's dying. As if it's a real, living creature. As if it breathes, like it holds some piece of Angelo, like it's a beacon that will bring him back. Dad sees beauty in the metal and the edges. I see sharp points, a twisted back, an open mouth caught saying something like why do you always do this to us or don't make this my fault or don't be so fucking sensitive. If there's something I don't know about my dad, it's how he lived with it for so long. The cabin we live in is more of an insulated shed. It has two lofts, a bathroom, and one big space for the couch and kitchen and the fold–down table. It was the hunting cabin that Grampa used when he was alive. It's deep in the woods, connected to the road by a mile–long driveway. We're twenty miles from Little Pesos, which has the Walmart, library/church, ranger station and the charter high school. I walk three miles to get to the bus stop that takes me the rest of the way. We have classes from April to October. In winter, the weather is too unpredictable. Dad likes the cabin. His preparations involved delivering the speech three times a week at his family's church. For these reasons, some Internet critics attack Dalton Sherman, suggesting that he's a puppet reciting someone else's words. What do you think? I think this underscores how good you can be if you devote yourself to consistent practice and obtain speech coaching. While they may have numerous thoughts when they talk about a point, grabbing pen and paper appears to go away all thoughts. A few understudies aren 't even certain what a paper is. Essentially, a paper is a composed approach to express a supposition and demonstrate that it 's legitimate. This can take a mixture of structures, at the same time the standard organization begins with a presentation, has a body, and finishes with a conclusion. There are a couple of straightforward steps to composing an article. First and foremost, understudies must create thoughts. They need to consider what they think around a subject and what they need to compose. Understudies do this in diverse ways. A few understudies do conceptualizing. That is, they sit with a bit of paper and compose words and attempt to relate them to different words. A few understudies simply make a rundown of thoughts. Different understudies discover they have to do some prewriting on the grounds that they think better when they are working out their thoughts. Some understudies simply sit and think and get the thoughts dealt with in their personalities. Restricted is worse than an alternate way. • 40. Personal Narrative Essay : The Best Friend In High School Standing atop the ledge of the Golden Gate Bridge is so intimidating. I've stood in this spot countless times, however, I've always wussed out of actually doing the unthinkable. With no one to help this uninteresting high schooler out, this girl doesn't even have a single friend in this new place. Because all of my technology has been broken in someway, I've not had a chance to talk to my old friends, but it's not like I had numerous friends in my old place. Nevertheless, the one friend I thought I had was Corrine, but she moved on and found other friends after I moved away. So much for best friends forever. Come to think of it, my family isn't the most supportive, since they pick favorites. Ever since the twins were born, I haven't experienced any sort of tender love or care, and any attention they have left over, it all goes to my older brother. Praise the great honors student who takes all AP classes and volunteers every chance he acquires. He's the next potential valedictorian of the school. And me? Conversely, you're looking at the biggest failure this family has ever seen. I haven't made an attempt to be a productive, social member of this school. I'm just here; I'm part of the crowd; I'm completely average. Consequently, I stand out just enough to be seen by some bullies that need to hurt others to feel better about themselves. Moreover, they enjoy and love seeing my reactions, but after a year of them, I've started to become indifferent to my own suffering, therefore, the pain no longer hurts; I'm numb to it now. How I got to this point is a long story that involves my panties and bra being hung on the flag post of the new school I went to, and various glares and judgmental looks from other girls in the locker rooms. Basically I was bullied, if you're wondering; it's not a tale that needs much explaining. I realized that the Golden Gate Bridge was closed to pedestrians at night, so I borrowed my brother's old bike and went on my way. I'm glad that they haven't finished building that suicide prevention fence or whatever. It doesn't fit the aesthetic of this place anyways, and further continues the plot. Enough about my backstory, it's not like it will matter at all in a few seconds. I am here, and in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 44. What Do You Do When You 're Not Sure "What do you do when you're not sure..." so begins Father Flynn's sermon near the beginning of the play Doubt. Father Flynn delivers his sermon to the people of St. Nicholas Catholic church in the Bronx in the year following President Kennedy's assassination. His sermon builds upon a story of a sailor lost at sea who has doubts about the course he has set and his doubt becomes the metaphor for the community who has lost its certainty. To do so they make anything in their power to find out that their doubt is a belief even if it means to lie. "Doubt can be a bond as powerful and sustaining as certainty." Based upon a few indirect details and various intuition, the ultra–strict, Sister Aloysius Beauvier believes that one of the priests, Father Flynn, at the St. Nicholas Catholic Church and School has been molesting a twelve–year–old boy named Donald Muller, the school 's only African American student. To help her, Sister Aloysius recruits a young and naive nun, Sister James, to assist her in monitoring the suspicious yet charismatic Father Flynn. She also addresses her concerns to Donald 's mother, who surprisingly is not horrified or even shocked by the allegations. She is more concerned about her son getting through high school and avoiding a beating from his dad instead of what her son is going through at school. Close to the ending of the play ...
