Cro-Magnon people lived as hunter-gatherers, cooperating in bands to hunt animals. During the Ice Age, much of the Earth's water was frozen in glaciers, lowering sea levels and exposing a land bridge between Asia and North America. Hunters used this land bridge to migrate to the Americas in pursuit of animals, leading to the settlement of people and animals on the newly accessible land.
