1. Bus Stop

2. 1 EXT. BUS STOP - EVENING 1
A quiet bus stop on a narrow road opposite a dark woods.
KATE - late teens, messy hair, natural makeup, casual
clothing - is leaning against the bus stop. Her phone
buzzes.
POV down on phone face.
Message:
"Meet me at the bench"
NEW ANGLE Kate sighs.
POV down on phone face as Kate types her response.
Message:
"I can’t"
NEW ANGLE Kate’s phone buzzes again.
POV down on phone face.
Message:
"Meet me at the bench if you still want this"
NEW ANGLE Kate frowns.
POV down on phone face as Kate types again.
Message:
"I can’t I am with my sister"
NEW ANGLE Kate’s breathing increases.
POV down on phone face.
Message:
"Your choice"
NEW ANGLE Kate’s face screws up and reddens, and her eyes
become watery, she starts to huff and puff.
Lilly - young, girly clothing, loose bunches, a comforter
- shuffling next to Kate, runs her hands through the
comforter and quietly glances up innocently at Kate.
Kate angrily starts stomping her foot on the floor and
then starts pacing back and forth.
Lilly raises her hand and gently taps on Kate’s arm.
Kate stops in her tracks.

3. CONTINUED: 2.
Kate shoots a deadly glare at Lilly. Kate walks back over
to lean against the bus stop staring at her phone in deep
thought.
Lilly walks over and cuddles up to Kate’s arm.
Kate jumps up from leaning and grunts as she moves Lilly
and places her in the bus stop.
KATE
Don’t move.
Kate turns and walks away from the bus stop and down the
road.
Lilly waits at the bus stop. She awkwardly watches Kate
walk away. Lilly’s breathing becomes unsteady. Her fingers
twitch and her legs shake.
Lilly’s eyes squint in the direction of the figure of
Kate.
Lilly pulls out a little flip phone from her pocket and
presses some buttons and the phone starts to ring.
LILLY
(into phone)
Can you come back?
Kate turns around and stares back in the direction of the
bus stop.
KATE(O.C.)
(from handset)
No stay there.
The phone cuts off and Lilly watches as Kate turns back
around and walks out of vision down a path on her left.
Lilly cherishes the last glimpse of Kate with a shot of
fear in her eyes.
2 EXT. ROAD SIDE - EVENING 2
It’s starting to get dark and there are cars zooming past,
with their lights shining brightly. A MAN with a dog
pounds down the road towards Lilly.
Lilly spots the man with the dog and scurries down the
road in the direction that Kate went. Lilly walks down the
side road and approaches a dark mysterious wood. Lilly
hesitates before walking in.
EXT. WOODS - EVENING
The woods are dark and overgrown, the trees’ eerie shadows
are cast everywhere by the light from the full moon in the
night sky.

Lilly pulls out her small phone and dials. But the phone
stops ringing with no answer. She pauses for a second and
calls again.
LILLY
(into phone)
Where are you?
There is interference on the phone.
KATE (O.C.)
(from handset)
Lilly...
The phone cuts off and Lilly puts the phone in her pocket.
She looks around in circles at all the possible routes.
She stops and starts running down a thin path with
thistles everywhere. Lilly’s running becomes faster and
her legs get stabbed by the sharp thorns.
Lilly’s running becomes unsteady as she staggers along.
She trips on a root and falls to the ground.
Lilly pulls her phone out of her pocket and clutching it
in her small hand, she calls Kate.
LILLY
(into phone)
Kate where are you?
I hurt my foot...
The interference stops any reply from reaching Lilly and
then the call is cut.
She stares up at the night sky peering through the
treetops, starts to cry and curls herself into a ball on
the floor.
3 EXT. WOODS - EVENING 3
In another section of the woods Kate approaches a bench.
Her face bears a worried expression as she looks down at
her phone as she shakes uncontrollably.
Kate looks up to see MATT - a tall, well-built, skinny
jeans, denim shirt, hoodie, twenty five year old man -
sitting on the bench waiting. Matt smiles charmingly and
stands up as Kate approaches him.
MATT
Aw come here.
Matt takes off his jacket and wraps it around Kate. He
embraces her in his arms before guiding her to take a
seat.

5. 4.
Matt takes a seat next to Kate and puts an arm around her.
He takes her hand in his and pulls her closer to him. Kate
looks up at him and gives him a weak smile and rests her
head on his shoulder.
4 EXT. WOODS - EVENING 4
Area of woods where Lilly is curled up on the ground. Her
body slowly raising and falling with each breath. Eyelids
gradually opening and closing. A tear rolling down her
cheek. The shadows of the woods growing larger covering
her body.
5 EXT. WOODS - EVENING 5
Matt’s arm rests on Kate’s shoulder, Matt moves his
fingers to gently massage Kate’s neck and runs his fingers
around her ear. Mat slightly and gently runs his fingers
down Kate’s face under her chin and slowly lifts Kate’s
head to look into her eyes. Matt gives Kate a cheeky smile
and leans in and creases the side of her face.
Kate turns her head away and moves to cuddle back into
Matt’s arms. She takes his hand from her face and
inter-winds her fingers between his. She looks out through
the woods as her eyes dart from side to side.
Matt looks down at Kate and after taking a look around the
woods, he takes his hand from Kate’s. He puts his fingers
under her chin to lift her hand to level with his. Matt
leans towards Kate and closes his eyes.
Kate looks down at Matt’s lips and before they reach her
she moves her head away and shuffles away from him.
KATE
Please stop.
Matt shoots her a glare and raises his eyebrows. He sighs
and stands up and turns away from Kate.
MATT
Grow up.
Kate’s eyes become watery. She looks down at her phone and
the tears start to roll down her cheek. She starts to
mutter inaudibly to herself. The concern on Kate’s face
grows into an expression of panic. She looks down at her
phone gripping it tighter.
Matt turns around to look at her and rolls his eyes. He
walks up to her and takes her phone out of her hands and
puts it in his pocket. He sits next to her again, putting
his hand around her back and starts to pull her close.

6. CONTINUED: 5.
Kate shoves Matt away and attempts to get the phone out of
his pocket. Matt grabs her hand and shakes his head. Kate
tries to tug her hand out of his, she manages to set her
hand free on a new attempt. Matt takes the phone out his
pocket and throws it to the floor and smashes it under his
foot.
Kate screams and the tears pour down her face as she
struggles a deep breath. She turns around and starts to
run through the woods. Sweat appears on her forehead and
her tears continue to flood.
6 EXT. WOODS - EVENING 6
Kate still running spots Lilly on the floor and runs up
and tightly hugs her.
Lilly clings onto Kate.
Kate picks Lilly up and rests her head against Lilly’s.
KATE
I am sorry
Lilly looks up at Kate and smiles.
Kate runs through the woods with Lilly in her arms.
