9. • As we felt the Mother was a very important
character within the film, being one of the
main involvements, we wanted to give her a
name which had a meaning of religion behind
it. As Cecilia did, and also originated from the
word “blind”, which could represent her
being blind to her father’s wronging
throughout the story, and having a blind spot
of her son’s life when he needed her in his
most crucial time of his life, we felt it fit her
the best.
