2. Fitness Center Attendant Responsibilities
● Provide a clean, friendly, and safe workout environment for all patrons in the
Fitness Center and Gymnasium.
● Enforce all policies and ensure safety of all users.
● Securely open and close the Lower Level of the University Center.
● Promote and assist in Fitness Center programming to motivate customers.
● Sign in Fitness Center users (with proper ID and signed Waiver).
● Conduct regular Gym and Lobby checks.
● Launder Fitness Center towels.
● Gather and enter data to aid in FC statistics.
3. Student Supervisor: Kathleen Matecki
● Assists Coordinator of Fitness Center and Aquatics with UC Lower Level day-to-day
building operations.
● Coordinates Fitness Center staff schedules.
● Maintains Lower Level Waiver database and F.C. statistics.
● Lead Fitness Center staff meetings.
● Trains all new Fitness Center staff members.
4. Facilities: Grant Gym and Fitness Center
● Fitness Center Attendants monitor the Fitness Center and the Grant Gym.
● Both facilities are located in the UC Lower Level.
● They are home to different types of exercise equipment, including cardio
machines, free weights, racks, Matrix machines, and small equipment (mats, balls,
resistance bands, etc.).
● Shared space between Athletics and University Center.
● Hours:
○ Monday-Thursday: 6am-10:30pm
○ Friday: 6am-8pm
○ Saturday-Sunday: 9am-5pm
5. Fitness Center Customers
● All current students, faculty and staff with a valid school ID, semester
enrollment sticker (i.e. Fall 2019), and signed Safety Waiver (red sticker)
● Fitness Memberships- paid memberships for those who are affiliated with the
University (i.e. family member of current student/faculty/staff, alumni,
retiree)
● Webster Athletic Teams- sports teams often use the Fitness Center for
workouts with the Strength and Conditioning Coach, Matt Saitz, or with a
coach from their specific sport.
