2. Capturing
• The day following our filming, we decided to
capture the film as soon as possible so it
meant we could have more time editing.
• That lunchtime we reviewed the footage and
decided the shots we wanted to get rid of.
• These were normally shots which were blurry
or broke the continuity from prior shots.
3. Cutting
• We cut the shots which we felt were not going
to be used, but if we weren’t sure we decided
to keep it just so we have more material to
choose from.
• We cut the shots we didn’t need by using the
razor tool to separate the particular shot from
the rest of the sequence. We then highlighted
the clip and pressed delete on the keyboard.
4. Organising
• After we got rid of the images we didn’t need,
we had to use the razor tool to separate the
long sequence into individual shots. By doing
this, it made it easier for us to refer to the
shots when starting to draft a first cut of the
video
6. What have we done so far?
• So far we have put the first 20-30 seconds into
the correct places but we might decide to do
even more filming.
• We’ve uploaded the music and timed it to the
beat for a good effect
7. The next stages
• We will continue to put the shots into place
for the next few weeks and start to put in
some effects
• We also need to work on the transitions
between the shot and create a first draft
before conducting a market research asking
how we can improve
