MathSight regularly crawls websites
and the external inbound linking web
pages to extract “signals” much in the
same way a search engine does

Currently we have over 113 signals and

MathSight uses the site’s analytics
data (including traffic) to analyse
which signals are significant in
causing gains and losses in traffic
Identify the signals

Using the most appropriate technique (in the above case mean differences), we
identify signals common to both web pages that gain or lose traffic from search
engines over time
Test for significance

coincidence, we use a variety
of mathematical techniques
including ANOVA to test for
the signals’ causal influence
