5. Interactive Virtual Field Trips
The Virtual Field Trip (VFT) offers an
opportunity for your class to participate
in a close-up, two-way videoconference
with an expert, a museum, or a vendor
to learn and explore in a new and
unique way.
7. Teacher Testimonial
Molly,
We had the rock VFT this morning. It was good. They sent
a huge box of specimens. The kids were in groups of 3-4
and each had samples to handle and examine. I wish you
could have seen the presenter. She was probably in her
50's with a big gray mohawk. She was engaging and the
kids liked her. Thanks so much!!

11. The Value of the Virtual Field Trip
Saves time and money
You don’t have to be the expert in everything
Takes kids where they wouldn’t normally get
to go
Engages students
Expands student’s interests
Showcases careers
12. “Field trips provide students with a window to the
real world that they don't get in the classroom,
and they can help students understand real-world
applications of seemingly abstract topics in math
and science. For example, engineers may often
use formulas taught in Algebra II, calculus, and
chemistry classes.”

Teachers: Don't Overlook Value of Field Trips
