Client: Let’s just say this wasn’t my idea … but it was kind of fun
After receiving a degree in Advertising from Penn State University, Matt Sober spent more than 11 years in
print journalism, where he earned a reputation as a talented writer and diligent editor.
During that time, he wrote an award-winning weekly column, with topics ranging from sports to politics to
pop culture (sometimes all at once). Matt’s understated style, dry wit and knack for turning a phrase were
trademarks of his columns, which variously amused, provoked, inspired and, occasionally, raised the ire of
readers.
Since departing print journalism in a quest for the proverbial “new challenge,” Matt has enjoyed the
newfound freedom to play fast and loose with the facts, churning out public relations features, ad copy,
headlines, taglines and Web copy in a marketing communications environment.
