7. THE PROBLEM
•Separate information repositories for procedures
•Difficult or no search capabilities (navigation only)
•No linkage of related procedures
•Difficult to request changes and update information
•Any design or functionality changes required IT involvement
•Not enough support to create a taxonomy or have it loaded into the term store.

8. THE APPROACH
•Navigation: Provide home/index pages allowing those that resist change to navigate
•Content: Move from documents into web pages
•Consistency: Use of CSS, content editor web part and consistent page structure
•Content changes: Provide ‘recent changes’ information
•Search: Enterprise wiki pages and metadata
•Feedback: Provide simple change request and feedback forms
•Measure: Search metrics
