• Culture is considered the
complex whole of society,
including the beliefs,
behaviors, and material
objects shared by its
members. There are five key
cultural characteristics that are
shared by human societies.
These are that culture is
learned, shared, symbolic,
integrated, and dynamic.

4. IMPORTANCE OR FUNCTIONS OF CULTURE
•Culture provides rules of proper
conduct for living in a society .
Culture also provides the individual
his concepts of family , nation and
class. Through the dev’t of culture ,
man can overcome his physical
disadvantages and allows him to
provide himself with fire, clothing
and shelter.
