2. ❏ Why did the man have to take off his
shoes in the beginning of the video?
❏ He has to take off his shoes in the gankan
because he has to respect Japanese
standards and takes his shoes off inside.

3. ❏ What is the one feature of her apartment
that she said is not usual for an
apartment in Tokyo?
❏ Her apartment it's more narrow than
others apartments, she can touch both
walls.

4. ❏ What did she say about having living
things in the apartment?
❏ She said that if there is no living things
she can't see the outside world, living
things just feel really stale, and that's
when this space can feel a bit small.

5. ❏ What problem do earthquakes cause in the
apartment?
❏ She has to bought sticky pads to her toaster
because when there is an earthquake it moves,
and she is usually sit near the toaster and she
thinks that without that sticky pads, the
toaster will move towards her head.

6. ❏ What do Japanese kitchens prioritise in
terms of space?
❏ The Japanese kitchen don't have kitchen
countertop, the Japanese people value
sink-space more than cutting space.

7. ❏ Was the rent for her apartment
considered expensive or cheap?
❏ The rent is considered cheap because she
pays less than in a rural town in Australia
and includes wifi and other services.

8. ❏ Why did she not want to have a bigger
apartment?
❏ Because when she has a bigger
apartment and then a bigger one, she will
never be satisfied, until she is satisfied
with the apartment she lives now.

9. ❏ What life lessons does living in a place like this
teach the girl?
❏ It keeps her creative, it teaches her how to
make room for her, and helps her to be relax
and focus on other things, also to think
creatively and have all those opportunities to
influence the apartment.

10. ❏ What was your favourite thing about the
apartment?
❏ What I like the most about the apartment
is that it is very cozy even if it is very
small and can help us get to know
ourselves better.

11. ❏ What was your least favourite thing about
the apartment?
❏ What I like least about the apartment is
that it is too small and you cannot do
many things like dancing, do sports or
inviting your friends to lunch or dinner.
