2. Our school, the 3rd
Gymnasio of Kalamata is located in the
eastern part of the city, near the old military base.

3. It’s got ample grounds and it’s area is
considered quite .

4. The school is a lower
secondary school with three
grades: 7, 8 and 9th

5. The students are aged between 12 – 16 years old

6. There is a total of ten forms composed of 210 students and
25 teachers.

subjects are
taught in these
forms

9. The school has two special characteristics. One is that
it is the designated school for children with special
educational needs like dyslexia ADS, etc. The second, is
the record it has fore extra curriculum programmes. Most
of these are Environmental and Cultural Studies programmes
as well as Health Education projects.

11. We go on lots of trips with these programmes to do on the
spot training and learning

participated in
7 EU projects

given some of us
the chance to
travel abroad

other cultures

15. while teaching ours

16. We are also encouraged to take part in civic matters

17. work with NPOs and NGOs

18. But mostly we are encouraged to try new things
