4. Why I-Grad?
Read on to find out why you should join our I-Grad program…
I-Grad is a twelve month graduate management trainee program where you’ll learn
the ins and outs of running a great hotel while developing your capabilities as a
future leader. I-Grad programs are offered within Hotel Operations and in 2013 we
will also offer some specialised I-Grad programs within the Business Functions of
Finance, Sales, Marketing and Human Resources. As an I-Grad you’ll:
• Learn the fundamentals of how the hotel industry works
• Develop skills and experience in the function of your choice
• Manage an innovative project from start to finish
• Receive one-on-one monthly coaching from the hotel’s Senior Leaders
• Gain leadership experience with an internationally recognised hotel brand
• Be a part of the world’s fastest growing international hotel group
The 12 month program is defined by three rotations:

7. You will start off with an in depth orientation program where you’ll learn all
about our IHG Ways of Working and then commence your rotations, learning
how each department functions within the hotel to contribute to the overall
success of the business.
I-Grad Operations will see you working across the 3 key operational areas with
an additional remote location secondment embedded within the program to
provide additional insights and experiences across our hotel portfolio in region.
I-Grad programs within business functions will give you an initial rotation
within operations to understand the nature of your business support role and
will then provide work experience within a range of areas within your selected
business function.
Along the way you will be supported with a Senior Leader as your coach,
complete business focused projects within each rotation and experience learning
and development opportunities to build your leadership capability.

What you need to be successful in your application:
I-Grad Operations: A recent Bachelor’s Degree or a recent Diploma or
Advanced Diploma in Hospitality
I-Grad Business Functions: A recent Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant associated discipline
Intellectual curiosity
Excellent interpersonal skills
Leadership qualities
Passion for the hospitality industry
Mobility to move to take up the program and mobility on completion of program
(relocation support provided )
