ANTONIO, CARLO and SAL are sitting at the bar table, enjoying a beer
with one another. SAL is sitting at the opposite side of the table,
whilst ANTONIO and CARLO are on the other side.
SAL IS SITTING UP-STRAIGHT, AND ANTONIO LEANS OVER
ANTONIO:
(Calmly)
Like the old days, huh? We’ve
had good days Sal. We have. I’m
glad that it all worked out,
you’re here and we’re all fine.
If we hadn’t seen that prick
messing with you
EXT: PLAYGROUND, SUNNY, A NICE DAY TO PLAY
A FLASHBACK to SAL being assaulted by another male kid, aged 5-9,
bigger and chubbier.

ANTONIO:
(CONT’D)
We wouldn’t have been
partners.
(Pauses, and sips his drink)
That’s a big deal, and we feel
that you should get more
involved with us and what we
do. Money counting ain’t the
most enjoyable thing to do all
day.
SAL:
(Unsure)
What do you mean Tony,
(nervous laugh)
I don’t get it?
CARLO:
(Leaning closer)
We want you to be more like
us, Sal. Kill a guy, and you
get a promotion
2. SAL:
(Shocked and silent)
You want me to kill a guy?
SAL looks tense, scared and intimidated. He looks as though he wants
to leave, but knows that he can’t
CARLO:
We need you to kill him, no
choice this time. Last time,
you got away with sand in your
pockets, and we’re following
your trail this time, alright
ANTINIO TAKES OUT A PARCEL FROM HIS JACKET POCKET, SOFTLY SLAMS IT
TO THE TABLE AND STARES AT SAL
ANTONIO:
(Whilst standing up)
Take this, open it and
remember it
CARLO:
No screw ups Sal; it’s either
him or you. Get home, get some
sleep, and get it done
ANTONIO AND CARLO LEAVE THE BAR. SAL IS ON HIS OWN.
SAL is nervous, and is on his own. He sits on his
own.
EXT: (CONT’D) OUTSIDE OF THE BAR, SAL ENTERS HISM CAR
SAL is in his CAR, angered and tense; he hits his STEERING WHEEL
and is sweating.
