in a better way.
4. INDIA is considered one of the
fastest developing economies of the
world .And agricultural sector has
always added to its growth.
Agriculture and other related
activities contribute nearly 50% to
our economy.
Hence it is considered as one of the
prime occupations.
5. India has always been the largest
producer of milk ,spices coconuts etc.
worldwide. It also has a large
production of grains tremendously
adding to the exports.
6. Contribution of agriculture in
primary sector
Primary sector

Forestry, fisheries ,
animal husbandry ,etc.
(3.1%)

(0.7%)
7. MODERN AGRICULTURAL
TECHNIQUES
at present ,govt. has introduced new
techniques to improve the quality
and quantity of the production:
funds are being provided to the
farmers for using modern techniques.
Effective fertilizers and chemicals are
being imported.
8. Tractors , harvesters and other
modern machineries have been
introduced to save the time and
increase efficiency.
Moreover ,there are many
agricultural institutes for the
research and development of this
sector.

17. India needs yet another green
revolution
๏ฎ Due to mismatch between demand and supply
of farm products ,it has become very difficult
to meet the needs
๏ฎ Gains of green revolution of mid 60โs have
started tapering off.
๏ฎ Excess of chemicals in farms are poisonous
production.
๏ฎ thus once again green revolution is needed but
with environment friendly techniques.
19. ANALYSIS &INTERPRETATION
๏ฎ INDIAN AGRICULTURE is the boost in the
field of industries, crop production, exports,
etc.
๏ฎ Contributes nearly 67% towards the primary
sector , generates employment to localities.
๏ฎ One of the largest crop producers in the world.
๏ฎ But faces many problems due to uneven
distribution of land, variant climate, distinction
in temperature, dependency on rainfall etc.
20. ๏ฎ Rapid fall in the production capacity due to
chemical fertilizers, insecticides and
pesticides.
๏ฎ Can be improved by various methods :
๏ฎ Crop rotation
๏ฎ Use of bio fertilizers with apsa-80
๏ฎ use of environmental-friendly inputs
๏ฎ GROWTH RATE OF AGRICULTURAL
SECTOR IS ALSO VERY LOW.
