"What is the meaning of this life?" This is a really tough question that does not have any single correct answer.

"Even though my parents have been living in the UK for such a long time, their
mindset remains very traditional and ... Asian. They do not really feel ok whenever I
pack my stuff and leave home. The only thing they expect from me is staying at
home, having a good job with stable income and getting settled down like my
fellows and peers", an overseas Vietnamese friend told me about his story in
Yangon, Burma a couple of weeks ago.
"Then I decided to break the rules and started my very first journey abroad at the
age of 29", he added. "The more I travel, the more energy and motivation I gain.
This is how I enrich this life. So far, so good".
This is one of many inspiring stories about youth, personal growth and discovery I
absorbed during my trip to Laos/Thailand/Burma.
Throwing back, I do not really
regret a thing for any trips that I've
embarked on after leaving my dear
university. I did have an awesome
student life at Hanoi University
(formerly, Hanoi University of
Foreign Studies), and it was
definitely my luck to be part of a
high-profile university in Vietnam.
This is a great learning environment where my passion for life, work and travel was
nurtured. Gratitude is not just enough for me to say about this cool place.
As you know, how to earn, save, spend and budget responsibly is always a tough
question in our mind. There are, in fact, lots of things for us to care about when

2. every single day passes by. However, the tougher the question is, the smarter our
mind becomes.
From my very personal point of
view, youngsters should not just
think about saving. Of course, it is
totally necessary because we can
not have a healthy life with an
empty pocket. However, making
an investment is much more
important. I myself invest a
specific amount of yearly budget
for professional training courses
and domestic/ overseas trips which sometimes I call "adventures". Fortunately, I
have met with numourous travel companions from all walks of life around the globe
who share the same values.
Now if any of you guys ask me about travel experiences, I will just reply: "No plan is
the best plan when you are on the road". It does not necessarily mean you should
not make any plans at all.
What I mean here is open-mindedness is the key to survival. Please do not make
too detailed plans as unexpected things may happen at any time. Instead, be ready
to take risks and willing to cope with brand new experiences, then you will have an
epic party for celebrations at the end of each day.
