Zongyan Li was born in Chengdu, China in the 1990s and took a normal path through the Chinese education system of primary school, middle school, and high school. In middle school, Zongyan developed an interest in foreign languages and other cultures. Zongyan attended a boarding school from kindergarten through high school, where Zongyan made lifelong friends and was exposed to global perspectives that improved communication and leadership skills. After high school, Zongyan studied abroad in Canada through a joint program between a Chinese and Canadian college to prepare for international study. Zongyan has been studying finance for two semesters and plans to become a certified financial planner.

2. I was born in Chengdu, Sichuan, China in
the 90s…
There it is!

3. …and I took the most normal path as every
average Chinese kid, from primary
school, middle school to high school.

4. I started to show interest in learning
different languages since I was nine, and
knowing about other culture makes me eager
to see the world.

5. My middle school is actually a boarding school contains kindergarten, primary
school, middle school and high school, I have spent seven years there and during
which I have made life-long best friends, I have learnt about almost everything.
Most important, it is that school that provided me visions from a global
level, improved my skill for communication and leadership.
These two is for the dubbing competition
which I gathered a group of classmates and we
practiced for a month and wined. That is the
competition that affected me the most
because I started to feel the confidence of
leading a team to success for the first time of
my life, it feels awesome.

6. After graduating from high school, I studied in a program co-
operated by Tianfu College in China and Centennial College
in Canada, where students take English and business
courses, and prepare for study abroad in every aspect.

8. I have been studying in Finance for two
semesters now, and I planned to get my
certificate to be a financial planner in
April, 2013.
