Women in parks discuss many topics, including their children's schooling and behavior, household help, cooking and recipes, upcoming events, health, traffic, TV shows, crimes in the area, and family issues. Younger women also talk about relationships, marriage plans, fashion, makeup, careers, and selfies. Students discuss their grades, professors, part-time jobs, and internships. Across age groups, women enjoy talking about food, restaurants, shopping, and keeping up with cultural trends. Gossiping provides a common social activity for women of all ages.

4. These women talk about their children most of their time. There are two types of
women one who brags about their child, how good he/she is in studies, behavior,
extra curriculum activities and another group complains about how naughty their
children are and how they don’t listen to anything at all.

5. The women were talking about how much homework the teachers give. The
children do not get any time to rest and play. They also talk about what is taught in
class if their children study in the same section. They help each other about coming
exams and how to prepare their children.

6. They love talking about shopping. Who bought which dress from where, where sale
or discount is going, where to find unique items or items at cheap prices. They even
go shopping and some of them sell 3 piece salwar kamiz to one another.

7. Housekeeper is very important for these women. A helping hand is a must so they
talk about them. They even supply housekeeper to one another. They either brag
how multi-tasking their housekeeper is or how lazy their housekeeper is that they
have to do everything and the housekeeper is of no use. Mostly they complain about
housekeepers and talk about their flaws.

8. Most of these women are mothers so they talk about what tiffin to give to their
children. They also talk about about which food are healthy and which are
unhealthy. The women share their recipes with each other. They also talk about
restaurants they recently visited.

9. Women talk about upcoming events. This starts from how they are going to
celebrate their anniversary, their children’s birthday to which celebrity is coming to
Bangladesh to perform and so on.

11. Women in park talks about which healthy food item to include in their regular diet
such as oats & yoghurts for weight loss and switching to sugar-free ,low calorie food
items and exercise or walk on daily basis to stay healthy.

12. Women were also talking about the traffic situation in our country. They were
discussing how traffic jam is increasing day by day and how it is getting difficult to
reach their work place on time or to pick up their children from school. They had to
start 1/2 hours earlier than the due time.

13. Park environment provides with more privacy and women tend to share their
personal stories about family such as;
 How the members of her family behave and which member stays in with them.
 Who is ill at home
 Who is getting married or expecting a baby
All in all they tend to share all kinds of family issues and updates whenever the
gather around.

14. Women often talk about the common TV serials they watch and discuss over the
ongoing situations in the serials. They also inform one another about upcoming
serials and how the storyline is and how the performers are doing.

15. When observed, women also tend to talk about recent crimes and criminal activities
that takes place. Moreover they also share their concern towards the victims of
those crimes and alert one another so that such criminal activities does not take
place in their family or neighborhood.

17. Young women often seem to talk about how they want their marriage to be.
How the whole thing will be decorated?
What will be the theme ?
Where will they get their dresses from?
Where will they go for honeymoon? And lots more.

18. It is very common for girls of this age to talk about their relationships. They talk
about everything regarding their boyfriends starting from their dates to their fights
with them.

19. CGPA is a big topic for every NSUer thus it is no different in the girls lounge.

20. Discussion about faculties is a common topic. How they teach, what type of grade
they give, whether they curve or not are the few questions.

21. We heard some girl talked about make up kits & parlor.
 They concern about make up brands
 The best ways to apply them
 Latest collection of cosmetics
 Which parlor gives best service in reasonable price
 Latest treatments giving in the parlors

22. We have found some career orientated girls as well, they talk about;
 Future plan after completing undergraduate
 Which type of jobs are preferred most in the corporate world?
 Which additional courses or degrees are needed for better jobs
 Help each other by giving information about part time jobs & privet tuitions
 Which companies are good for internship

23. Girls taking selfies with their friends anytime & anywhere. They talk about their
recent taken selfies & show others. Tease each other with funny selfie poses.

24.  Girls mostly talk about latest trend & fashion
 Which style & fashion is trending in town
 Which shopping mall & boutique shop are good for latest trendy clothing & other
accessories
 Preparation for special occasions & events like- Pohela Falgun, Pohela Baishakh,
Valentine’s Day etc.
 Share their experience in online shopping
 Make plan for shopping together

25.  They talk about lastly tasted food items & give feedback about them.
 Give information about newly launched restaurants & coffee shops & their special
items & dishes.
 Make plan for hanging out in those restaurants.
 They also share recipes of food items with each other.
 Their choice & thinking regarding particular cuisines & recipes.

26. Through our survey and observations we have seen that different age groups of
women tend to talk about different topics at different time of the day.
Young women seem to like talking about recent trends and current cultural topics,
whereas, Older women seem to talk about serious issues and current events.
But both groups do like to talk about some of the common topics and gossiping
seems to be a very good time pass for both the groups.
