1. What have you learnt about
technologies from the process of
constructing?
2. The technologies I have used have varied from
Photoshop, Indesign, Excel, Blogger, Prezi,
Slideshare, Jing and loads more. Some of the
images I’m going to use are from my blog work.
3. Blogger is a social networking site that I have to
use to present my media coursework. Blogger
at first was very confusing to me because I
didn’t understand how to use it, but as I was
become more familiar with it, it got easier as it
went on. Also I learnt how to add hyperlinks to
my blog and embed videos.
4. The Internet was very crucial in helping my with all my
production work. The internet helped me not only
through my research but also my blogging work
because that was were we were supposed to present
our work.
When I didn’t understand certain things I would ask
the internet to give me a definition. This has improved
my knowledge of this course and more.
Excel was the first software I used for my
research work. Using this software was easy for
me because in GCSE ICT our work was based
on Excel so I didn’t have a problem using it.
5. This DSLR Canon camera was used to take pictures
of my models for my music magazine. The fact that
this was a digital camera it was easy for me to
decided whether I wanted the image or not. Being
able to see the images encouraged me to change the
angles and features of the camera.
6. Photoshop was one of the first softwares that I
used for my production work. This is a software
that allows you to edit and manipulate images.
This software help me edit images that I
wouldn't have been able to edit for instance this
image.
7. Indesign was helpful in creating my double page spread. Also it
helped me structure straight lines in order for my interview to
be clear to read. Indesign can be used to create leaflets,
brochures, magazines, books and so on. This is my double
page spread that was created on Indesign.
8. The scanner was very useful for me because
it showed evidence that I had planned my
magazine before hand. The scanner allowed
me to present my flat plan that I did by hand
and could be presented on a computer.
9. Prezi is a presentational site that encourages people to
engage and participate on virtual information on a
whiteboard. Prezi helped me to construct and organise my
presentation work. Also it makes my work interesting and
attractive which will engage my audience to read more.
Using prezi at first was difficult because it seemed like there
was a lot going on however I have seen it before this course
so I wasn’t unfamiliar with this.
10. Slideshare is another form of a presentation site
but can be shared through blogs, twitter and
other social networking sites. This is useful for
me because then I can show a presentation on
my blog and I can embed the video straight
there.
11. Jing is a screenshot and screencasting site that
allows you to capture whatever is on your
computer screen. I really like this software
because I can directly speak to my computer
and show my work that I want to present. Using
this software was easy because it showed you
steps of how to use it.
12. QuickTime was used to help me create a
screen casting for my evaluation for
questions 1 and 2. This software was very
simple and straight forward to use.
