The charango is a stringed instrument. It has
five double strings made of: metal, nylon or
mixed. although there are variations with less
or more strings, but almost always in five
orders or games.
5. MARIMBA ESMERALDEÑAS
The Marimba is a
percussion instument
consisting of a set of
wooden bars struck with
mallets called knobs to
produce musical tones.
The Esmeralda marimba is
a traditional percussion
instrument from the
Province of Esmeraldas in
Ecuador.
It was created in 1892
6. In Ecuador, on December 2,
2015, during the X Session of
the Intergovernmental
Committee, it considers that
the Afro-Emerald marimba is
worthy of entering in the
Representative List of
Unesco's Patrimony.
