This document discusses using peer collaboration to meet the diverse needs of all students. It recommends including a variety of sensory and physical activities in the learning environment to help regulate behavior and encourage motor skill development, learning, thinking and social skills. The purpose is to involve students in group activities that keep them moving for an extended period of time to build cardiovascular endurance, spatial sense, and understanding through the use of movement. The peer coach's role is to help create different and interesting activity stations and ensure students have fun while getting creative ways to move.
