This document provides an overview of assessment data from Gulf High School over the last 5 years. It includes the school's mission statement and charts showing trends in math, science, reading, and writing scores on the FCAT. While math scores have improved each year and are above the district average, science scores declined last year. Reading scores are also below the district average. Writing scores fluctuated over the period. 7. Things to Celebrate
• GHS Math scores have continued to improve each year!
• GHS Math scores are higher than the district average!
Congratulations to the Math Department
and students for there success!

8. Areas of Improvement
• FCAT Science scores declined 6% from the previous year.
• Reading scores are below district’s average.
• Writing scores improved from 2011-2012 to 2012-2013 but
dropped again in 2013-2014.
• This is attributed to the increase in the passing score from 3.0 to
3.5

9. Goals for This Year

• Science Proficiency increased by 7%
• Reading Proficiency increased by 10%
• Writing Proficiency increased by 10%
