Rosa Parks alias Rosa Louise McCauley was born on
February 4, 1913, in Tuskegee, Alabama.
She studied in Industrial School for Girls, Alabama
State Teachers College for Negroes.
When her parents divorced, she lived with her grand-
parents.
3. When she was an student, black and white students
were separated in the bus, who it carry at school.
In 1932, Rosa married a barber named Raymond Parks
who was a member of the National Association for the
Advancement of Colored People(NAACP)
In 1933,Rosa parks finished her high school.
In 1943, she joined the association(NAACP).
4. In 1955, after a long day , Rosa Parks took the bus in
Montgomery to go back to her house. She sat down in
a front seat of the bus. A white a person asked her for
this seat , but she didn’t agree with him, and she
refused to go to the back of the bus. So the police
arrested Rosa , because she didn’t respect the law.
5. This is a very big problem for black people. They
organized the boycott of Montgomery's city buses.
After this movement, Rosa lost her job, and her
husband too.
In 1992, she published Rosa Parks: My Story, an
autobiography.
6. In 1995, she published her memoirs entitled Quiet
Strength and she acted her role.
On September 9, 1996 President Bill Clinton awarded
Rosa Parks the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the
highest honor given by the U.S.
In 1999, Time magazine named Rosa Parks one of the
20 most influential people of the 20th century
7. Rosa Parks died on October the 24th 2005 . She was 92
years old. She died because of progressive dementia.
For her funeral, 50000 people came to several
memorials.
Rosa parks is a big personnality of
American history.
