 Coast environments are vulnerable to diverse activities both in-situ and
inland.
 What is the problem of contamination at coasts near river mouths?
 How contaminated is the area at the coasts near the rivers?
 How much of this contamination comes from the rivers?
 How much is land use affecting this contamination?
 How can this problem be resolved?

4. Goals
 Identify the contaminants in marine debris generated by land-use
practices at the rivers and the coasts.
 Depending on the findings, evaluate alternatives or protocols to
manage the different types of marine debris at the coasts.
