These slides are a photo essay of the efforts of the Logged On Foundation to establish a computer centre in the village of Astam, Nepal, for the benefit of school children in the region and as a community resource centre. The work began in early September 2011 and was completed mid-November 2011. The success of the project depended on community participation and support, local technical know how and support from groups and individuals both within Nepal and Australia. The Logged On Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation that uses computers and the internet to improve the state of education in less fortunate communities and to connect them to a world of ideas, services, entrepreneurial activities, and knowledge exchange.
