Three recent projects displayed on presentation boards. The first is a small jewel of a kitchen, the second is a complete redesign of a living room / sunroom space and the third is a large kitchen renovation.

Kitchen Renovation
An accomplished cook, the homeowner decided to renovate her kitchen, which dated back to the early 1960’s. The small space did not lend itself to expansion however we replaced old vinyl
flooring with a prefinished wood floor, installed new custom cherry cabinets with a distinctive black stripe detail, provided black quartz counters with a marble mosaic tile backsplash and installed
new appliances. Recessed lighting fixtures were strategically placed to uniformly light the counter work areas. Continuous electrical plug strips were conveniently located under the overhead cabinets
so the mosaic backsplash was uninterrupted. Liz Murphy Design provided the design and the project management.

Living Room Re-design
The homeowners love to entertain and large family gatherings are common. The living room was divided into two areas, dictated by a fireplace and a sunroom area. Lacking cohesiveness, seating
was limited and uncomfortable. The goal was to develop a furniture arrangement that would tie the two spaces together and give the room a coordinated and more intimate feeling. New furnishings
and vibrant but durable fabrics were selected, keeping in mind the architectural features of the space and the owners’ extensive art collection. New window treatments were designed to bring texture
and color to the room but not to hide the view of the gardens and reflecting pond.

Kitchen Renovation
The original small kitchen and breakfast room were combined to create a new 350 s.f. kitchen that focuses out onto the outdoor deck, poolside kitchen and expansive views of the owners’ horse farm.
All new custom maple cabinets, porcelain tile flooring, halogen lighting and appliances were combined in a light-filled space for serious cooks. A long base cabinet with continuous windows above
extends out onto the deck, increasing the kitchen width and providing a home to thriving herb pots.
