Live wisely story
1. Live Wisely
Our intention to promote the message to Live Wisely is to encourage a more thoughtful
consideration in the way we consume; thrive for a better lifestyle through affirming the
principle of stewardship.
Our Premise
Paradoxically, the future of our world calls for a return to a simpler time where proper
stewardship of all our resources is the hallmark. A return to the more desirable way of
living: of highlighting nature rather than the artificial, of sharing rather than hoarding, of
modesty rather than the ostentatious, of prudence rather than wastefulness, of balance
rather than instability, or in a nutshell, to Live Wisely.
Highlights:
• Lifestyle guide with common sense
• Less is (and can be) more
• Consume as needed and reuse as much as possible
• Continuous regeneration of basic materials
• Supply and produce according to actual demands
• Emphasizes local characteristics and needs
• Returns to the true spirit of Globalization by sharing unique local attributes
instead of the current resource arbitraging model
• Underlines the cooperative spirit of each one’s unique skills and contribution to
the success of the whole
• Resonates with one’s aspirations and hopes for a better way and new tomorrow
Re: Life is good
This past decade a successful apparel line was developed based on the optimistic slogan
“Life is good”. As the present global economic crisis has shaken many paradigms, to
genuinely realize “Life is good”, one must first “Live Wisely”.
2. “Live Wisely” is broad enough that it may be applied to each individual’s unique
situation, yet also is instructive so as to encourage positive action.
Background Story of Our Glõbo
Born out of the recognition that we have been given a gift, the incredible world in which
™
we live, and we are called to be stewards of this gift; Our Glõbo was formed by a group
of friends from diverse cultures and walks of life. We are parents and grandparents,
aunts and uncles, from the corporate world, the entrepreneur domain, the fashion
sector, and the home front. We seek to create products and solutions that represent
lasting stewardship, legacy, and responsibility.
Over months of brainstorming sessions and countless cups of coffee, our ranks grew and
friendships deepened. By combining our wealth of business experiences, extensive
direct commercial contacts, and appreciation of sustainability principles, we are able to
comb the globe for viable solutions and select appropriate suppliers for our goods.
Based in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, with colleagues and friends spanning the
globe, we actively engage our local and international partners to produce quality
products that are socially, environmentally, and economically beneficial.
3. Kurt Richebacher referred as “late degenerate capitalism,” when people no longer make
things, but trade paper -- mortgages, stocks, bonds, MBSs, CDSs -- for “profits.” Now in the
bailout period, the government promises to guarantee prosperity, security, health, welfare
with its own paper. We can’t help but wonder where this all ends…
