grammar), Linh mới chỉ đang đọc từng từ đơn lẻ thôi  Cái này cũng gây khó hiểu cho người

4. Câu

After graduated Hanoi University of Science and Technology in 2015, now, I am
working at Viettel Research and Development Institute, the biggest group about electrolic
and telecommunication in Vietnam. My job is an embedded software engineer who
programming for airmy machine using C/C++ language.
- What’s your major?

Well, I specialize in Electronics and Telecommuncations. I have been working as an
engineer for 2 years.. I have mastered the basics of electronics and telecommunications,
combined with programming knowledge mainly related to the embedded system.
- How do you like your courses? Do you like your major?
Studying Electronics and Telecommuncations, especially Embedded System is
interesting and practical. It helps me to keep up with current technology trend and it
improves my analytical and problem-solving skills as well.
- Why did you choose that major?
I think it would help to fulfill my dream of creating my machines.
- What work do you do? What do you do?
I’m currently working as a embedded software engineer for Viettel Research and
Development Institute, the biggest group about electrolic and telecommunication in
Vietnam.
- Why did you choose that job?
I guess it’s because of my passion. The process of creating useful machines is somehow
intriguing /ɪnˈtriːɡ-ing/ (gây hứng thú) to me, so I chose to be a software engineer, which
combines both electronics and telecommunications. It’s quite interesting, you know.
- What do you like most about your job?
Well, the perk /pɝːk/ (đặc quyền, thù lao thêm) of being a software engineer is that you’ll

life involves writting a program and embeding into circuits, researching algorithms, and

What I don’t like about this job is that + MĐ, and normally I’ll have to do ….
- Do you think this job has a bright future?
Yes, I think so. Vietnam is developing really quickly, and the fourth industrial revolution
have closed relation with electronics and telecommunications ( xem lại câu này) . So
software engineer can get a well-paid job easily.
- What are the most interesting and the difficult part of your job?
As an embedded software engineer, I have to create a software for machine. Because of
that, I can make something by myself, and that's really interesting. It also gives me the
chance to meet intelligent people , and learn a lot from them.
But sometimes, I look at computer screena lot in a daily life basic, it make me stress.
2. Accommodation
- What kind of housing/ accommodation do you live in?
I live in a house that has a living room, a kitchen, two bed rooms, one bathrooms and a
lovely back garden. It’s not really a spacious(rộng rãi) house, but it’s just right for me
and my family.
- Who do you live with?
I live with my parents. We always get on well with (hòa hợp với ai) each other and have
a lot of fun.
- How long have you lived there?
I’ve lived there since I was a child, until I graduated from high school and moved to the
city to enroll /ɪnˈroʊl/ at university, where I lived in a student apartment during the
courses.

- What’s the difference between where you are living now and where you have
lived in the past?
Living in a apartment is totally different from living in my own house. My current
residential /ˌrez.əˈden.ʃəl/ area is quite small and it’s very noisy because there are a lot of
people there and I don’t have my own space. Conversely /ˈkɒn.vɜːs.li/, when I was living
at home, I had my own spacious room and it made me feel comfortable.
- Which room does your family spend most of the time in?
It’s definitely the kitchen. Not only lunch or dinner time but all our family reunions

get together to eat tasty meals, and chat to each other – it’s a really harmonious

I prefer my bedroom most due to its convenience and privacy /ˈpraɪ.və.si/. Because of my
stressful work I want to be in a quiet place and concentrate on my work. In my own
room, I’m never disturbed by anyone else. Moreover, in my own space I can do whatever
I want without bothering others.
- Do you prefer living in the house or a flat?
Well, personally, I prefer living in a house to a flat because I value my privacy and need
my own space. Owning an independent house, I can plan and design a house layout to suit
myself. Moreover, I can modify a house according to the size of the family.

- What’s the name of your hometown?
I was born and raised /reɪzd/ in Hai Duong provine which away HN capital 80 km –
the Northern of VN. it takes approximately a 2 hour drive from Hanoi city center to
get there.
- Is this a big city or small place?
Well, my hometown is a small city with roughly /ˈrʌf.li/ 12/twelv/ district /ˈdɪs.trɪkt/. The
booming population and economy have turned it into (biến nó thành) a promising
hotspot for many investors. Although Hai Duong is developing a lot recently, and
expanding every year. It is still a traditional town.
- Do you like living here?
Yes. The food there is excellent. Local cuisine is Chung Cake, it make form mung pin,
rice, it is a delicious food. People in my hometown is very kind, honest. The weather
there is quite pleasant all year around.
- What do you like (most) about your hometown?
I think that’s the peace /piːs/ and quiet /ˈkwaɪ.ət/ of the countryside, which give me peace
of mind.
The people live close together and always give anybody a hand when they need it.
Living cost is dirty cheap (cực rẻ) unlike exorbitant (đắt) ( Tùng IELTS suggest)
- Is anything you dislike about it?
Maybe there’s one thing I dislike about it, that’s most of people in my hometown speak
with a speech defect /ˈdiː.fekt/. For instance, they make no difference when pronouncing

‘l’ and ‘n’. I think it could be a big problem for them while communicating with foreigners
/ˈfɔːr.ə.nɚ/.
- Where would you like to live in the future?
Well, I would still like to live here in Hanoi because I like its pace /peɪs/ of life which is
very fast /fæst/, Hanoi is a really bustling /ˈbʌs.lɪŋ/ city.

I often take pictures to commemorate special events such as graduation or a wedding
ceremony. Sometimes when I’m in a good mood I snap a photo of anything that catches
my eye or do some selfie with buddies or by myself.
- How often do you take photos?
Not too often I must say. Since I really don’t like posting boring photos with the same
object all the time, so timing is everything. I believe my guts (cảm xúc) will know exactly
when and how I should flick to produce high-quality photos.
Well, I don't usually take photos to be honest. I prefer to enjoy whatever I'm doing, rather
than stop to take a photograph.
- Do you prefer to take photos yourself or to have other people take photos?
Well, personally, It would be way more comfortable taking photos by other people…..

The weather is very different in 3 regions in Vietnam. The North has 4 distinct seasons,

Actually. Vietnam is an tropical country. In the summer of the north of VietNam will

Yes, of course. I listen to music quite often. I have a smart phone which I download a lot
of songs onto. When I fancy listening to something, I just turn the phone on, put on my
headphones / in my earphones and play my favourite playlist.

I would say yes. You can easily see a wide range of advertisements /æd.vɝːˈtaɪz.mənt/
almost everywhere in my hometown. For example, almost half of a newspaper is
made up of ads.
- Why do you think there are so many advertisements now?
I guess it’s due to their benefits. First, advertising is an essential part of promotional
campaigns for companies to reach their end users. It helps raise the visibility of a
company's brand. Second, advertisements can act as decoration on the street. I find a street
better-looking with advertisements.

I am going to talk about my niece(cháu gái)) who is knee-high to a grasshopper(rất
nhỏ).
At this moment she is fourteen years old but she looks much younger than her real
age(nhìn trẻ so với tuổi). In terms of her appearance, she has round face framed by thick
black hair. She is fair-skinned(da trắng) and quite chubby(mũm mĩm). In addition to
that, she always wears glasses due to her short-sightedness(cận thị), which makes her so
cute.
As for her characters, she’s a kind of person who is non-judgmental(không phán xét).
You know, she always accepts and respect people’s choices, regardless of how they may
differ from her own. In addition to that, she’s also compassionate(cảm thông) towards
others. I mean she always understands what is going on with others, recognizes how he or
she is feeling, and she can interact and respond accordingly. In other words, she possesses
some characteristics of a mature person.
Since both of us have strong preferences(thích cái gì hơn) for travelling, we often go on
holiday together. Throughout our travels, we can have unique moments and learn new
things. Furthermore, she is a bookworm and me, too so we usually go to some bookstores
together and hit the book during our free time.
Of course, I have to say that I love being with her. It’s always fun and enjoyable. Besides,
as she’s a good listener, she has become my confidant(người tâm sự). I can freely share
all my secret or private matters with her.

Well, knowing the fact that it's time to save the environment, a small portion of
societytaking steps to preserve it. However, A friend of mine, known as Xuân
Bắc, contribute his valuable time in order to protect the environment. He became
my friend when we were studying together at the HUST University, for engineer
degree in Electronics and Telecommunications. He is environmentally conscious,
interested in eco-friendly and sustainable things.
Even though he has been working as an Embedded Software Programmer for 2
years, he never forgets to spend his weekend in protecting the environment. Every
Saturday and Sunday, he closelyworks with a Non-Profit Organization called
"Save Earth". Their primary aim to plant countless trees across the city as trees
play an important role in preserving the atmosphere. You won't believe, his team
and himself planted more than 50000 trees in the last 3 months which is a huge
achievement for them. Planting tree has really significant advantages to the Earth.
The most important is it provides oxygen and absorbs carbon dioxide. Another
benefit is they support the wildlife which ultimately contributes to preserving the
ecological cycle. Furthermore, it reduces the effects of flooding and many more
plus points for planting the trees.
Overall, I can say that my friend contributing his considerable time to saving the
environment. I will always remember him how gracious he is for the Earth.

was a professional English footballer who played for the world’s most renowned football

Beckham, an equally successful model, singer and fashion designer, with four children.

also because he is very modest and kind as a person. He was seen offering a hand to a
photographer who fell while trying to photograph him. Also, according to his wife, Divid
Beckham is devoted husband and father who always puts his family first.
If I ever had a chance, I would take David Beckham to my favourite restaurants in Hanoi
and introduce Vietnamese food to him. Of course, I would take pictures with him, to post
on my facebook wall but the most important thing would be for me to talk with him, learn
from him and be inspired by this man.

I’d like to kick off by saying that I can name many useful law in Vietnam, but today
I’just gonna take a particular law, which is the law of wearing helmets when commuting.

motobike without wearing a helmet. However, there a lot of road accident happened and

only during the weekends, at around 8pm. It is always busy and crowed. Everyone went

support. She lack of knowledge about computer and information technology. After 30

Well, now, I’m going to talk about special gift that I took a lot of time to find and choose.
That gift was for my father and my mother. My mother and my father was born in
September, but I had to think of what the gift was from July. Fortunately, it coincided
with my summer holiday in HaLongBay- the new seven wonder of world. I immediately
went shopping to look for some special things when I reached there. Unfortunately, there
are a variety of products. Therefore, finding a suitable job for them is extremely a
challenge for me. After 2 hours with careful considerations, I decided to buy a cloths
made from 100% cotton. It was sophisticated and unique.
I was satisfied because at least, I had tried to find a meaningful gift for my family. And
