TREATMENT WRITING

     Lewis and Tom Mockridge
BRIEF OUTLINE OF THE PLOT
A social networking based horror/thriller following
the events of teenage girl being terrorised by a
mass murder.
DETAILED BREAKDOWN OF THE OPENING
SEQUENCE
• Set in modern day England, the opening scene presents a
typical teenage girl , relaxing in her room.
• A fright brought on by her boyfriend knocking on the
window, creates the eerily vibe associated with are genre
  Horror/thriller.
• The girls boyfriend continues to show her a website
introduced to him by a friend on which is multiple
pictures of girls asleep in there bedrooms.
• The frightful nature of the scene is developed when the
girlfriend recognises a friend on the website, and herself
  starts to panic.
Referring to modern day technology and issues
paired with the amount of information
available, our horror/thriller film , breaks the
mould of a stereotypical horror film , exciting
and intriguing the audience within the opening
scene.
SLEEP TIGHT
The name of our movie, is a commonly used catch
phrase, however placed in the context of are genre it holds
connotation of violence and twists the usually lovingly said
words, into a sinister ambiguous title reflecting our theme of
horror/thriller.
WHAT STYLE/TONE ARE YOU AIMING FOR?
As many people have a preconceived idea of a typical
horror. As a group we hope to create an unorthodox take on
the typical stereotype.
By creating a false sense of security at the start of the scene
through relaxing, calming images and upbeat music, we
hope to trick the audience into feeling comfortable.
So when a small scare appears in front of them , the reaction
is dramatized, keeping the audience on the edge of there
seats even when being shown a relaxing atmosphere.
TARGET AUDIENCE , AND HOW WE HOPE TO
 ATTRACT/ADDRESS THEM
Are target audience is aimed at our peer group so 16+.
Actors of a similar age and relatable topics in the film, will
allow us to address the audience directly.
Majorly the theme of social networking is extremely relevant
to our generation, increasing the viewers enjoyment and
awareness of issues associated with the internet.
Are retake on a typical horror/thriller we hope will entice the
audience and engage them in the film.
