2. Playing
This is a picture of my Grandad Baldy
and me having bike races in the backyard
when I was little. Clearly I won this race.
Playing forms part of my identity because
it is something I have done since I was a
child. As an adult I still love to have fun ,
laugh and play games with my nieces and
nephews. I also love to play tricks on them
as well. I have never stopped playing,
probably never will.
3. One aspect that makes up my
occupational identity is that I am a
sister. This is a picture of myself and
my three little sisters, Jacinda, Narissa
and Harriet. I spend a lot of time
catching up with them. We are there
for one another and there is never a
dull moment at family gatherings.

4. Student
This is a photo of me as a student working on an
assignment. This forms a big part of my identity as I am
working to become an Occupational Therapist.
Although at times I find it difficult I do feel satisfied and
empowered as I move through my studies. Being a
student is important to me because I want to contribute
something worthwhile to society and do something I enjoy
for a living.
5. Socialising
This is a picture of my friend Lauren and I
on our way to a my favourite animals party,

identity as I love to spend time with my
friends at weekends going out to dinner,
laughing and having fun together. We are
there for one another no matter what.
6. Employee
Another aspect that makes up my
occupational identity is that I am an
employee at Witchery. This makes
up my identity because it forms part
of my habits and routines. This job
also facilitates relationships with
many others to. As far as jobs go I
love this job there is something
satisfying about making someone
feel good. This is a picture of me at
work.
7. Road Trips
This is a picture of me on a road trip at
national park on a road trip down to
wellington. Road trips are part of my
identity because I love to get out and
explore New Zealand as being a kiwi is my
heritage and who I am. I love getting out and
going on journeys with my friends and family
especially when time is no limit. I enjoy
seeing all the natural landmarks our country
has to offer.
8. Art
This is a picture of a painting I did.
Art is part of my identity because it is
something I have done since I was a
child. I get a lot of satisfaction in
being creative it is a way that I can
express myself and is an outlet for me.
I love that through my art I can bring
enjoyment to others. When I am
creating a piece of art I am taken to a
happy place where nothing else
matters.
9. Cello
This picture is of my step-mum and I
playing at a jam session. Playing cello
forms part of my identity , it is a big
part of my life. I spend a lot of time
refining my skills. On average I
practice for about an hour a day.
Cello has provided me with a
platform to play at concerts and in
orchestras. I find cello to be extremely
rewarding because it is challenging
and I am always learning something
new.
10. Bush Walking
This is a picture of me on a bush walk one
night at Cathedral Cove in Coromandel.
Bush walking forms a part of my identity as it
is something I have done since I was a small
child. We used to go on bush walks with my
family fairly frequently and Nana was usually
the leader. I get a lot of satisfaction and
enjoyment in looking at the surroundings and
just plain getting away from the hustle and
bustle of town life.
11. Flute
Here is a picture of me playing flute in a jam
session. Playing flute forms a major part of
my identity as I have been playing since I was
10 years old. I spend a lot of my time playing
at sessions, taking lessons via Skype and
playing at gigs. Playing flute also provides
me with a link back to my heritage as I play
Irish flute and Irish music. I get a lot of
satisfaction out of playing and have made
many friends in pursuing this hobby. It has
given me a chance to try lots of different
things like playing at weddings, in ensembles,
orchestras and for dancers.
