 Tutoring
 The goal of the tutoring center is to help you
become better writers and speakers.
 Tutors can help with all aspects of language.
 Tutors do not ‘edit’ your work, but help you to
edit it.

 Sessions Mon-Thurs from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Friday 10 – 6 p.m. at ISSC Midtown
 Sessions Tuesday and Friday 10 a.m. to 5
p.m. at 7 East 12th Street

 Writing
 English Grammar, Using Words Effectively,
Introductions and Conclusions, etc.
 Speaking
 Pronunciation, Small-talk, etc.
 Culture
 U.S. Culture, College Skills, Working in Groups, etc.
 Technology
 Excel, Powerpoint, etc.
 Pen Pals International
 A writing club where you can learn to enjoy
reading and writing and make friends.

5.  SCPS Global Network Representatives
 Meet peers from your country or the US to make
your transition smoother
 Intercultural Discussions
 An opportunity to meet people and discuss
different ideas from a variety of perspectives. All
SCPS students are welcome.

6.  International Club
 A student-led club open to all that puts on events
in Fall and Spring for all SCPS grad students.
 International Student Support Center Lounge
 A welcoming area to meet people, study, and
relax.
