7. Question(seminar 1)
Why are the youths today not interested in decision making( going into
parliament) inorder to make changes?
Answer:
Youths see legislative issues as very haed and requiring alot of experience
which they do not have.More over, they find it fun in technological
innovation.
My personal research on the seminar.
The African diaspora plays a very significant roll in Africas development.
This is because they operate at a more global level, and as a result, they
should have more influence in the social, economic and political landscape
of Africa.
8. REFLECTIONS
Concerning the firsit seminar, Africa has been going through a lot of socio
political instability. This has not made it easier for the African dyas to carry out
sustainable development project back home. This has been a major hindrance and
most students at the seminar expressed their disappointment about this.
For the second seminar, the erotic publicity or advertisement was
characteristic of the west, not taking into consideration cultural diversity and
cultural sensitivity. This was a major problem as it set some people from other
culture uneasy.
The third seminar talked of diversity as a USP. The grouping up of people to
work together durring that seminar was a good innitiative , as the different cultures ,
ages, gender brought their experience and perspective to accomplishing a task.
The seminar on doing business in the USA was very particular in its type. The
hall was full, an indication that many people wanted to understand the American
style of doing business. Also many student were already familiar with the topic
indicating their interest in that direction.
The fifth and last seminar was all about empowering African carabien migrants
in europe for economic change. The seminar was mostly attended by students in
universities and colleges. This was an indication that they want to be employers
and not be employed after school.
