Bushido code is a life's training of sacrifice of victory or death. Bushido law shows no mercy and discards any recollection of modern war laws. To

I could honestly say that this was an intense, prominent, and grand interpretation of what I think the most audacious exploits of World War II, the
book Ghost Soldiers: The Forgotten Epic Story of World War II's Most Dramatic Mission, by Hampton Sides. It was a specified mission of 121
specialized US Army Rangers that would go behind enemy lines into dangerous territory to perform rescue missions of 513 POWs, many of the
survivors were of the infamous Bataan Death March. The main thesis of this book I believe was how he exploited fundamental differences in the
culture of those involved; also capturing the idea of "hope", the hope of not giving up with the unknown right in front of you. The evidence was
through the words of personal experience mainly. I don't think it would be reliable if it was from a third party assessment, but Hampton was able to
see the lives of the POWs in the dreadful Cabanatuan camp. Hampton was able to witness all of the actions, the way things were processed between
commanders that where leading the mission. He had the chance to understand the Rangers feelings as this was all happening before and after the
campaign and that this rescue mission with such great tactics actually went unnoticed by so many, overlooked by so many.

In 1942, America faced its worst defeat. 22,000 Americans soldiers and thousands of Filipino soldiers were attacked in the Philippines by Japan.
American and Filipino soldiers fought for as long as we could before we surrendered to the Japanese. Japan took 76,000 hostages and marched them
across the Philippines. This horrific journey was know as the Bataan Death March. The Bataan Death March was a ruthless, brutal journey through
malnutrition, illness, persecution and ultimately death.(Norman,2015)
On December 7, 1942, hours prior to the attack on the Philippines, Japan attacked America 's Pearl Harbor. Japan sunk numerous American Naval
Ships, while killing thousands from an unexpected aerial attack. Japan moved quickly to the Philippines deploying several groups of Japanese soldiers
into the Filipino jungle and bombing airfield bases, shipyards, and harbors. Japan took over the capital of the Philippines and other larger cities and
surrounded the American–Filipino military bases and trapped several platoons taking them prisoner. Japan continued to capture platoons and seize
large cities, and finally on January 1, 1942 American and Filipino soldiers declared war on Japan. This battle was called the Battle of Bataan. The

Glenn Frazier, a survivor of the Bataan Death March states, " If we had known what was ahead of us at the beginning of the Bataan Death March, I
would've taken death." The Bataan Death March was extremely brutal, which left many survivors thinking if they should have died at the beginning

Bushido means "way of the warrior". The Code of Bushido was followed by the ancient Japanese, which respected the ways of warrior. It was a
code that taught the Japanese dedication and respect for their Emperor and their family. The code had required warriors to exhibit a strict sense of
honor and self control, maintain a benevolent yet detached attitude towards life, care for the Earth and other people, and be loyal to one's country
and family. However, the Emperor had used the Code of Bushido to brainwash and control soldiers. The Emperor used it as a tool to motivate the
people to murder and die for the code. According to the Japanese, if you surrendered, you would disappoint your family and country. In World War
II when the Japanese were held prisoner in Cowra prison in Australia, many of them changed their names so that their parents assumed they were
dead rather than disappointing them. The Code of Bushido made the Japanese treat the Americans and Filipinos in a savage and brutal manner.
Moreover, the Japanese's treatment of prisoners affected how Americans saw them. The Americans believed the Japanese were brutal human beings.
The Americans saw them as that because during the Bataan Death March, if you stopped marching, the Japanese would kill you with a bayonet or
rifle. Then, if you tried to help someone who fell, you would get beaten or stabbed. Also for a sport, Japanese soldiers would fracture sculls with rifle
