2. What is a STaR Chart? School Technology and Readiness The Teacher STaR Chart is a tool for self-assessing and planning. It is used to help teachers assess needs and set goals for using technology in the classroom. It is aligned with the Long-Range Plan for Technology, 2006-2020.
3. Each year, teachers are required to fill out the online Texas Teacher STaR Chart. Star Charts are used to assess progress in fulfilling requirements of No Child Left Behind, Title II, Part D. There are four key areas including: * Teaching and Learning * Educator Preparation and Development * Leadership, Administration and Instructional Support * Infrastructure for Technology
4. Four Levels of Technology Development I. Early Tech II. Developing Tech III. Advanced Tech Target Tech The end goal should be Target Tech in each of the four areas of the Long-Range Plan for Technology, 2006-2020.
